Listen… Do you hear Me?

And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed. (Deuteronomy 31:8 NKJV)

Keep standing on the promises of God with a childlike faith! Rest in assurance that The Almighty can never go back on his word.

“I thank you Father for being our greatest safety. In Your arms we can run to you and we will be comforted. Bless each and every heart who seeks peace, love, forgiveness and salvation. Let our hearts turn to You and rest in the shadow of your wing. Faithful is your name. In the name of Jesus I pray… ~ Amen.”

Love Drives Me to Press On

The Greatest Gift

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:1-13 NKJV)

Love and transparency seem to collide a lot in my life. Even through hurt and pain caused directly and indirectly, God always brings me back to a place in my heart that I cannot reject others. The natural man wants to rise up, take control and fully put up a wall of steel to protect my heart and feelings.

I have learned many times that this will never go the way I planned. I can only block and withhold but for so long. Its just a matter of protecting a wounded heart the best way that works for me.

This is not how God would like for me to handle this.

I have known since I was child that I could not hold on to anger, hurt and pain forever, that I could never hate people but that I can dislike their actions.

We all have shortcomings. There is not one man on this earth without blemish. We are a work in progress if we want to succeed. Not just in this life as human beings, but as servants of the Lord.

There is a greater purpose to just being me, being a wife, a mother, daughter, sister and friend. I have been called by the Lord to be a light in a dark world, to be an example of his love that defeats everything else.

No matter the pain, the tears, rejection, answers that have not been supplied….. I have been given an assignment that I must fulfill. I can’t run away from it no matter how hard I try even if that is something that I truly wanted to do. It’s not what I want. It’s just a hard load to carry.

I can’t do it on my own.

I will always need the Lord to carry me because I have had some weary days and nights with a heart full of sorrow and heaviness dealing with various things. It’s not just about my life but that as well of others including you, dear reader. You’d think that I could not drop another tear over the last month or so, but I have.

There’s no boasting at all. It’s hard to be transparent if pride and ego were factors. I can be transparent because it’s a part of who I am. This is how God designed me. I have questioned Him at times why do I have to love others so much when it can hurt so bad.

These were my thoughts when I was younger. Now it’s just about being at His feet humbling my heart and asking for help to never stray away, to never deny love to those who cross my path, to abide in his love and strength always with wisdom to gain because I don’t want to be selfish. I want to be obedient to every thing asked of me.

If we know each other personally and you have not heard from me, I just needed a little time to gather myself. And for those who don’t know me, God has managed to draw me back to the familiar in his own way, lovingly nudging me along that everything will work out just fine.

This journey I walk as a disciple isn’t easy. God did not promise that all my days would be filled with roses and sunshine but he would be there for me when I call out to him.

Love above all else will keep me going. In Him my trust is placed to work out every good and perfect thing that aligns with his word.

Glory be to God for mercy and grace.

Scriptures to think on:

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (Colossians 3:12-17
NKJV)

Let brotherly love continue. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels. Remember the prisoners as if chained with them those who are mistreated since you yourselves are in the body also. Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you. (Hebrews 13:1-3, 5 NKJV)

Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is: Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these. (Mark 12:29-31 NKJV)

Prisoners of Hope: Expecting Promises Of the Lord While Waiting

Prisoner of Hope

Return to the stronghold, You prisoners of hope. Even today I declare That I will restore double to you. (Zechariah 9:12 NKJV)

Believe me when I say that I know what it feels like when a cloud of rain hovers over your head seemingly to never go away. The rain keeps coming and you feel as if you might drown.

This is not so. God has not left you nor has he forsaken you.

Even as the nights grow long and it may seem as if the sun will never shine, keep holding on to God’s love and truth. Nothing surprises the Lord at all. Call out to him in your despair, through your tears heard, seen as well as unseen.

We will face some hardships in this life. Some emotional and some physical. It is by faith and hope that we must continue to trust the Lord.

Blind faith.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1 NKJV)

If we trust the Lord Whom we have yet seen with our natural eye to save us from an eternity of damnation to live forever with him in heaven once we repent and receive salvation, He surely will be with us and come to aid when we cannot see the outcome of the turmoil we are enduring.

The mind is a battlefield. We must be careful of the things we allow to filter…. TRUTH or LIES. Allow righteousness to fill you and cover the wounds of words and actions that attack you with doubt.

Let’s take a little look about Abraham shall we.

Abraham Justified by Faith

What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt. (Romans 4:1-4 NKJV)

The Promise Granted Through Faith

For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise made of no effect, because the law brings about wrath; for where there is no law there is no transgression.

Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all (as it is written, I have made you a father of many nations ) in the presence of Him whom he believedGod, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, So shall your descendants be.

And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarahs womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. And therefore it was accounted to him for righteousness. Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification. (Romans 4:13-25 NKJV)

Wow, now if this is not an encouragement next to eternal salvation, what is?!! ( though there are many examples and testimonies of the mighty works from the hand of the Lord to think on as well as share with others ) There is NOTHING that is impossible for God to step in and fix. Nothing.

I say this to you out of encouragement and my by own experience and testimony: It is better to just step back and wait on the the promises of the Lord to manifest. Always remember that manifestation may not come in the way that you want it to, so be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading. Just a simple yet profound word of encouragement through a song, scriptures that you just happen to see in the Bible or elsewhere or even through someone you least expect are signs that God hears you and that he is following up on promises he cannot go back on.

No matter how long the wait may be, holding out in the strength of the Lord and not that of your own will be so much more beneficial.

You never know just how much you can learn and grow from waiting through hardships.

“Thank you Lord for anchoring my soul even when doubt, stress, tears of the unknown and unseen could not be seen. My trust is in You and You alone. The natural man easily wants to rise up for instant gratification to feel better but when our HOPE is steadfast and immovable, trusting you for the outcome of your spoken promises and blessings….. sitting at Your feet in silence and meditating on your goodness and mercy as well as calling out to you with an uplifted voice of thanksgiving and praise just for being the head of my life is and should be good enough for me. May we all look to you O Lord even when we take matters into out own hands and repent. May we ask you to take over and remove us from ourselves because no greater peace is found while waiting than in You. ~ Amen.”

My brothers and sisters in the Lord, be encouraged while you wait. Let your Hope be a Godly hope and not that of the world. Let it be justified by your faith in Him Who is able to keep you from falling.

God’s Timing

tos4god

God’s timing is perfect; He is never late. Even when things seem out of control God is still working and has a plan for your life. @JoyceMeyer

God sees the big picture, and He loves you so much that He works out “all things for good in your life” (Ro 8:28).

“Trust the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding” (Prov 3:5)

“The Lord longs to be gracious to you…Blessed are all who wait for him!” (Isa 30:18 NIV).

God’s timing is perfect; He is never late. Even when things seem out of control God is still working and has a plan for your life.

Wait! Don’t get ahead of God and you’ll experience His best.

Running after Love: Seeking the Heart of God (re-post)

Bless the Lord oh my soul and all that is within! Bless Your holy name!

What a peace and joy that overflows in my heart this morning! I slept well and it feels good. Haven’t had much of that for a while. Well I want to share my heart and my prayers with you first of all. God is wonderful, magnificent, mighty, powerful, gracious, and the list goes on! My heart is reaching out to His people this morning. How can I not pray for you? Tears flow from my eyes hoping and praying that you stand firm in belief that God will supply you with everything that you NEED.

“Good morning Father, I come thanking you for being You, never failing to watch over us and seeing after our welfare. May all that we think, say and do be for your kingdom. Show us your ways, your precepts for our daily living. Refresh and renew our way of thinking. Please stir up that fire within our belly to seek you daily. Remove the scales from our eyes that we may see clearly; to be of help to those in this world who need to be uplifted and encouraged through their hardships. May your spirit fall fresh on us this day.

Oh praise your name my Lord! Praise, honor and glory are Yours! May you guide us always, helping us to take up our cross daily to follow you. In all things may we repent of our wrong doing and turn from sinful ways that keep us from doing right. Thank you for the breath of life yet another day. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.”

What a refreshing thought to know that God is of love. He is LOVE. What a true and loving Father to us all that he is… wanting the best for us. I was reading my daily emails and such a sweet message fell on my heart. I always said that I wanted to be a woman after God’s own heart for years and I do strive to do that to this day, but I need to pursue Him more. I do not want to become complacent knowing that I have my knight in shining amor available to me when I want Him.

I NEED HIM.

I need to actively pursue Him. He loves me and I love Him. I desire to want the things that He wants, to live my life according to the will set for me, to walk in the calling that has my name written on it. I need to run like never before. Run after The One who gives me everything I need and blesses me more and more each day even though I don’t deserve. If I don’t have anything else, I should be content with just Him.

“What will it take?”, I ask myself.

A lot of dedication, praying, seeking His guidance, denying the flesh of what I want. I need to take up my cross daily, read His Word and embed it into my heart. The Holy Spirit has prompted my heart at times over various things, brought to remembrance scriptures that has been food for my soul for such a time as this. Thinking on these things, I think it’s time to buy a new pair of running shoes and go after the Love of my life. I never want to settle and become “comfortable”.

My desire is that we all seek to be that man/woman after God’s own heart. I pray that we put on our running shoes and run like never before. It is never too late. He is waiting on you and myself like a gentleman. He won’t force himself upon us. The best part is that we won’t have to wait until we get to the finish line to run into His arms. He is right beside us!

Much love, prayer, blessings and encouragement for you this day and those granted to each and every one of you…..
