Oh precious Father, I thank you once again for being the Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscience God that you are. No name is above your name! All praises I give to you through the storms of life, for you have carried me through. Righteousness is your name and I live my life to please you. Hallelujah!! All that I am, all that I do, everything I put forth with the desire to bring edification to your kingdom is done in the name of Jesus. May any fleshly ways in me be removed. All thoughts and actions deemed unfit for a child of the Most High be cast away and washed from my being. Through the rain, the winds and raging storms, may I keep my eyes fixed on You and your promises. In the name of Your Son all things are possible. Amen.
We are in the days when this world isn’t getting any better and decisions have to be made. Either we choose to live right by serving God or to live in the desires of the flesh and side with the enemy. We can’t do both. I know it is a hard thing to do but we must keep the truth hidden in our hearts all all times, releasing it into existence when the things we think, say and do don’t align with the Word of God.
FOCUS. TRUST. BELIEVE. FAITH. FOLLOW….
Just like the story about Peter walking on water, it was when the wind became strong that he ( Peter ) perceived and felt what was going on around him that he began to sink. ( Matt 14:22-33 )He became frightened. Why? Because he took his eyes OFF of Christ. He lost his focus. This too happens to us when we lose sight of our faith and trust in Him.
Remember that being a follower of Christ will cost you many things. Family, friends, persecution, hate, dislike, popularity, and other things along those lines. Are you really willing to follow? I know the grass looks greener on the other side, but that choice is short lived and fades away. It’s not eternal. It’s temporary pleasure that will keep you wanting more and more and will eventually run you deep into the ground with nothing to show for it but sin that will cost you greatly.
Cost of Discipleship
34When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.35For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. 36For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? 37Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 38For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.” ( Mark 8:34-38, Matt. 16:24-27, Luke 9:22-26 )
I encourage you to call upon the Lord when you find yourself beginning to sink. Put all pride aside that you think you may not have and let God raise you up out of the pit that will only lead to destruction. Temporary pleasures really are not worth the eternal cost. No righteousness will be found. Misery loves company and Satan doesn’t mind permanent attendance.
You have a loving and caring Father who wants you to enjoy life but the right way. He didn’t send his Son to earth as a sacrifice for no reason, he didn’t give us his Holy Spirit to comfort and guide us daily without there being a great purpose behind it. Without God, we will never be complete. His unspeakable joy, peace, love, grace, mercy, blessings, strength and power are ours! They are ETERNAL!!!
Don’t you want that? I know I do.
The road is narrow but the path is worth following. Stay on this path no matter what looks good, sounds good and even taste good as you journey this life. God will provide you with the necessities and even bless you with the desires of your heart. He knows what you need. He will also bring others into your life to lean on in times of trouble. He’s the best friend one could ever have. He’s far from being a liar and stands on his promises made just for you so long ago.
Inhale, exhale and hold on…..
Your eternal treasures await you in glory. When you hear God knocking on your heart, in some way of your own that desires righteousness and wisdom reply ” Yes Lord, here am I. Make your ways known to me that I may live a life pleasing to no one but You. May your strength be placed within me that I will not waiver in thought and actions. ”

I pray in the name of Jesus that whosoever reads this that our God who sits in heaven showers you with a love greater than words could ever describe. May you draw from the Living Well who is able to keep you from thirsting. Bless you into a new day and a new year if it’s the Lord’s will for we know not the day or hour of his return.
