If you are thinking about the movie The Runaway Bride featuring Richard Gere and Julia Roberts, I am so far from that! Sorry. Not sure if it is a good movie or not but…… when I get a word from the Holy Spirit I either move in obedience or I don’t. The title came to me out of nowhere. I was sitting down minding my own business when a spoken word came. Things that make you go Hmmmm.
The video will do all the talking for me but as a fellow sister and blogger, I wanted to reach out through typing as well. I’ve missed writing to you all! Please know that I continue to write but I will also be sharing messages through my YouTube vlogs. I’m becoming a bit more comfortable doing it so here we go! Remember that God loves you and adores you. I did not speak or emphasize this portion of scripture on video but I wanted to share it with you here. And the Word tells us in the book of Ephesians:
Instructions for Christian Households
21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her26 to make her holy, cleansing[b] her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— 30 for we are members of his body. 31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”[c] 32 This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. (Ephesians 5:22-33)
So I implore you brothers and sisters in Christ to cleave to Him as the Head of your life whether you are single or married. Be the best bride you can be and do it with all your might and strength in the Lord with love and adoration.
Be blessed and encouraged always in the Lord,
Terra
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. (Colossians 3:23 ESV)
This is wonderful Terra. So glad you are doing this.
Aww thanks so much! It’s for the Lord….so thankful that I can go forth in it in His strength and encouragement.
