Come Lord Jesus!

*I am reposting this from my other blog site Wellspring At His Feet . Enjoy and be blessed.

Come Lord Jesus for we are in desperate need of a Savior. We are in need of direction that is holy and righteous. With You as our Great Shepard our lives will be filled in the fullness of Your presence and with an abundance of teachings, love, knowledge and wisdom. Patience, humbleness, kindness, mercy are ours to gain when we come sit before You.

Sheep needing Shepard

Sheep looking for their Shepard

Teach us how to love one another with sincerity, to treat one another with respect and not with judgement of our words and actions. Who are we to judge? Who are we to cast stones without first looking at the speck in our own eye?

My Lord, these words You have spoken have fallen onto fertile ground before so I pray it does again:

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. (Matthew 7:1-5 NKJV)

There is never a time that will pass upon this earth that we will not hear of heinous crimes and activity, idolatry, sexual immorality, evil corruption, and even disastrous weather events.

Those who deny Father God deny You, Jesus, for nothing we ask of/for can be made possible without Your intercession on our behalf. They call upon this “heavenly and sovereign source” above crying and pleading for help when fear and sorrow meets them at their door.

“God help us! Save us! Why would you allow such terrible things to take place?” These are pleads, cries and questions that want comfort and healing but all things will not be understood or answered. Since the fall of man this world is a sinful playground to all who will partake of it.

I pray that this nation, all nations wake up and realize that we cannot call upon a “part-time, as needed God” Who beckons at our every whim. We need You! Our lives are nothing without You in it.

Many innocent lives are taken each day because evil resides. Hearts and minds are flooded with great sorrow as loved ones leave this world in some form.

We need to have respect for all mankind, empathy and understanding for the broken in spirit. We need LOVE.

Sin permeates the grounds we walk upon and saturates the mind, body and soul of the wicked BUT……..

O’ praise the One Who paid our debt, shed His blood and died for us that we would be pardoned and set free! King Jesus! King Jesus! King Jesus!

No longer are we who are saved by salvation bound by sin! We are free! No longer are we condemned by our past sins. Mercy and grace have clothed us. How gracious and selfless! It was LOVE that made a way. It was LOVE that opened our eyes and ears!

Thank You Christ Jesus!

Dear people of the world reading this open letter right now, I speak to you out of love and concern in urgency that we wake up. Let us wake up and take heed to The Word of God. In a time of uncertainty it’s time to draw near to The Lord. It’s time to call upon the Great Name that’s above every name and asked to be reconciled back to Him before we leave this earth or before His return.

We know not the day or hour of His coming or that of when our time expires. We are not God nor should we attempt to play God. He is the giver and taker of life. Lack of wisdom, truth and respect continues to destroy us as a people.

A lack of Jesus in our lives leaves us in an utter state of destruction. This is a spiritual battle we are up against. Only God can lead us to victory.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12 NKJV)

Children of God, put on your armor. (read Ephesians 6:10-18) For those who have yet to become believers and followers, seek The Lord while He may be found. Repent and receive salvation today and when you do so with a contrite heart the angels in heaven will rejoice! Your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ will rejoice with you!

So let us come before The Lord with a humble and open heart to receive all that we can. He is our portion, our Daily Bread and our Fountain of Life.

Come…….

Let the Word go deep down covering you in the truth of God’s holy word. Allow it to manifest in your heart that it may radiate and affect those you encounter.

The River of Life

And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.

The Time is Near

Then he said to me, “These words are faithful and true.” And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place. “Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” Now I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things. Then he said to me, “See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.” And he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand. He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.”

Jesus Testifies to the Churches

“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.” And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

A Warning

For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

I Am Coming Quickly

He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

(Revelation 22:1-21 NKJV)

Sing Unto the Lord! Rejoice!!!

Good day all! It is good to be alive this morning. Praises to our God for breathing life once again into our very bodies. I want to share a song with you that has me about out of my skin when I hear it. You Reign by Christian band MercyMe was one of the favorite songs I heard them sing some years ago when I went to my very first concert. Yep. I have never been to a concert in my life until a few years ago. It was a Christian concert matter of fact with musical artist singing some of my all time favorite songs that I had been listening to on the radio prior to finding out that a concert was coming to town. (MercyMe, Toby Mac, Barlow Girl, NewSong, Skillet just to name a few.) The awesome thing on top of that was God ministering to my soul. I’ll never forget Winter Jam 2008. It was a night to remember. My friend Heather and I had an amazing time worshipping the Lord with a packed coliseum full of people. Many brought friends along who gave their life to Christ by the end of the show. I can only imagine how the heavens were rejoicing!

I want to encourage you all today to be blessed in the Lord. Remember that He loves you. Nothing will ever change that. Live for today. Get a notepad and jot down or just think on things throughout your day as to how favor has been a part of your life. You are alive and breathing, you have a roof over your head, a working brain, food to eat, praying people around the world interceding on your behalf who don’t even know you, etc. Most of all, you have a Savior who already cleansed you of your sins and welcomes you to a life in Him. Salvation is yours if you have not already received it. What an abundance of blessings you have. They are countless.Take a look around you and reflect. Life may not be looking the way you want it to but you are still here. God is on His throne. He is in control of the heavens and the earth. Surrender your thoughts and smile. God has everything under control.

Glory in the Highest!

“Father, I thank you for being the head of my life, I thank you for a sound mind and a peace that surpasses all understanding. I thank you for the desire to wake up delighted to be before You, to partake in sharing a word of encouragement with all who will receive it, to want to stand in Your rooted Word that will not go out void. I am before You with a sensitive spirit wanting to do all that is asked of me. I ask that You show Yourself to those who are lost, lonely, afraid, depressed, fearful, mourning and stressed out. Meet them right where there are. It’s not by this blog post that my prayers are heard. Someone needs You right now. May your angels provide a hedge of protection around them this very moment. May Your children be selfless and comfort a broken heart, be a shoulder to cry on, a mouthpiece of prayer standing in the gap for a dying soul. Let our voices echo in the heavens and on the earth that You reign forevermore! There is power in numbers as we unite for the sake of the kingdom. Let the demons tremble at the sound of your glory, flee when the name of JESUS is spoken and called upon. Today is ground breaking. Let the earth proclaim Your sovereignty and bow down in honor and reverence. Hallelujah! Praise Your name on High. Let us sing and worship like never before. You are our refuge, our strength, our courage and anchor and we bless You today. In Jesus I pray. Amen.”

Invitation to the thirsty: Take me to the King

Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. (John 6:35 NIV)

There is a constant struggle of the mind and flesh to live right. Pressure arises from east to west, north to the south. There’s no escaping when we sit in the hope and trust of man. We will constantly be thirsty wanting more and more of this worlds offerings. We will never be content in relationships, content within ourselves, content with our thoughts, content with where we are financially. We are chasing what we do not have…..

The enemy will lie and distract you from going to the Lord to declare what you are in need of, to repent to Him of the transgressions you have committed; the sins that keep you separated from communing and having a meaningful relationship with the Holy One.

So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. (Luke 11:9, 10 NKJV)

Even those in Christ endure hardships and can fall away or even merely distance themselves when they fall short of God’s mercy and grace. The enemy stays busy. He will not relent. Do not allow lies to deceive you into thinking that you cannot turn back to the Lord after doing wrong, to feel that you will never be good enough, that you will not be on the same level as other believers and followers of the Lord. These are lies.

Jesus Himself was tempted by the evil one but He sinned not. ( Hebrews 2:18, 4:15, Matthew 4:1-11)

Stand guard and be prayerful at all times.

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:16 NIV)

Someone will always have better, greater or less than. Whatever it may be that we long for, we are chasing after it. It’s a busyness that leads to nowhere. We are too busy trying to keep up with “The Joneses”, too busy trying to outdo others, too busy scheming and hustling to make way for our light to shine.

We become so caught up in ourselves while failing to realize that we will never be content or happy right where we are.

Now I’m not saying that we cannot have great material wealth and gain but there should be balance. Are we sharing with those who have less or are we harboring the blessings God gave us? Nothing we have came by chance or luck. God blessed you and I. No amount of worldly wisdom and gain will bring much fortune if Jesus Christ is not the center of your life.

This fortune I speak of is spiritual. Worldly fortune will pass and be remembered no more. Spiritual wealth is for eternity.

Emotional turmoil will have you closing off your thoughts. Like a bottle of shaken up soda, it eventually will burst. You try to twist the cap off but with no avail, not much takes place. Frustration and anger, depression and hopelessness begin to face you. This is because you are working in your own strength.

Someone greater, Someone stronger and wiser is needed. His name is King Jesus.

Take all that you are and all that you are not to the throne. Only Jesus can fix you. Only He is able to heal you, repair you, mend your brokenness, provide stability in your life in how you think and act.

It’s time to stop chasing the wind. It’s time to stop chasing after meaningless things of this world. They are not conducive. Jesus is.

If you know you thirst for righteousness and are looking for peace, Jesus is the answer. He is the Great Physician. Allow Him to come into your life and heal you beginning right now.

Do not put off this very moment. Stop fighting and debating within yourself. Stop reasoning within your mind. Stop reasoning with society. Satan wants nothing more than to destroy you. He will continue to rob you of peace if you allow him to.

If He (Jesus) has come into my life and saved me from myself many times over, I know and I believe with all of my heart that He can do it for you too!

Salvation awaits you today. Will you accept the Invitation?

“but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”(John 4:14 NKJV)

Recycled Sin: Has it become a trend to the point that we are accepting it as truth??

Are you wondering what Recycled Sin means? Take a look at the pictures below. See if you can figure it out before reading the rest of the post.

20120724-183916.jpg

20120724-184107.jpg

Okay so how about this one?

20120724-184313.jpg

So I’m sure you are wondering what I meant by my title Recycled Sin.

Well I will tell you. No sin is new sin. It keeps going and going and going. God is not gasping as He watches us. He knows our very thoughts, words and actions before we commit them whether they are good or bad.

Heaven and Hell is REAL.

Time and time again we take chances. We convince ourselves that if we are good people that we will make it into heaven. Now hear me when I say that I am not judging anyone and I surely have no power to put anyone in heaven or hell BUT my walk with the Lord can be a reflection of how I live my life and where I want to go when I leave this earth.

God is our Judge and He alone will decide where we go for eternity.

Good works will not get any one of us into heaven. If we have not accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, if we have not received salvation…. our decision is taking us to one place or the other.

IT’S TIME TO WAKE UP PEOPLE.

When we know in part, we should live out what we believe. We cannot take the Bible and sugarcoat pieces of it just so that we can still have “the best of both worlds”. This does not cut it with God.

The Bible tells us that we cannot serve two Masters. We will love and serve one or the other. This does not apply only to money as people tend to naturally think about because it’s like a well known slogan especially when and if we do not know God’s word for ourself.

Satan himself knows that God is real yet I can say that he was still dumb enough to try and take God’s position. Before you know it he was given the ole heave-ho into hell along with those who followed him.

Be careful and be not deceived. Satan knows Scriptures just like us. He can take them and twist them to make you believe that what you see, hear, speak and believe is the truth. He lies, he sugarcoats and can get you to believe anything unless you come back at him with the Word of God.

Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You. (Psalm 119:11 NKJV)

Let’s take a look at Who could NOT be fooled.

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread. But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: He shall give His angels charge over you, and, In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. Jesus said to him, It is written again, You shall not tempt the Lord your God. Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me. Then Jesus said to him, Away with you, Satan! For it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve. Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him. (Matthew 4:1-11 NKJV)

Whether its lying, adultery, homosexuality, or whatever it is that was spoken by God that is considered as sin, people treat it as if it’s a trend; that it is normal because it has been done for centuries; that it is acceptable as to not wanting to hurt anyone’s feelings or that you will not fit in though your mind and heart tells you that you just do want to stand OUT because you know the truth.

So who are we siding with? Do we really care where someone is going for eternity?

I get the pause and cricket syndrome when I ask if a person had salvation before he/she passed away.

Sadly I hate to say that it happens too often. Recently I found out that someone who was supposedly not living a life as a heterosexual passed away. Now whether it was true or not, it is not the big issue because one could be a murderer, rapist, cheater or a pathological liar. If they did not repent of their sins, if they did not receive salvation they likely are not spending eternity in heaven. I say likely because anything can take place in between the last minutes/days of life.

God knows and sees the heart for what’s true and what’s not.

I’m not playing judge and I am not pointing fingers but the Bible tells us clearly what’s true. There is no gray area.

Heaven or Hell. Isn’t that clear enough? Perhaps not for some. I pray that this mindset will become less and less and the fear of where one will be for eternity will kick in.

Where’s the compassion, where’s the love and concern? Are we too wrapped up in pleasing man instead of God? If we love and care the way we say we do then we will speak up.

No coaxing, no sugarcoating, no taking a blind eye and deaf ear to the very things we know are WRONG. Let’s do right by God when conviction sets in our heart. ( if we know the truth )

There is a time and place for everything and a way of handling people and circumstances. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was a living example to us all as to how to treat people. He hung out with those we would turn our noses up to or be quick to open our mouths and call them out on their sin, yet without taking a look in the mirror and seeing our own.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, (Romans 3:23 NKJV)

Does casting stones sound familiar?

So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first. (John 8:7 NKJV)

I encourage you to read this entire chapter being that a portion of it is talking about an adulterous woman who was about to be stoned to death for her sin but Jesus set the record straight.

Living Sacrifices to God

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:1, 2 NKJV)

Scriptures to read and meditate on:
Romans 8 ( in its entirety )

Let’s wake up and take life seriously. To appease others can cause a soul to spend eternity in hell. Think about it and act. Remember that we will all be held accountable for our actions. Is pacifying sin worth the cost?

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31 NKJV)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. (Proverbs 3:5-7 NKJV)

He Knew Just What I Needed (for a time like this)

Where mercy found me! Thank you Jesus for finding me and changing my life!

A couple of hours ago, I was sharing some encouraging scriptures and quotes on my Tumblr and Pinterest accounts while I was waiting for my son to get ready for football practice. We headed off and as I was driving, I was just soaking up God’s presence and had this pouring of love all around me. I smiled and just thanked Him again for waking me up this morning.

Let me back this story up just a little bit….

I woke up earlier to see my husband off to the gym and work but when I woke up, I woke up HAPPY! I thought to myself “I am actually still alive today! The Lord saw fit for me to be here another day. My goodnes it’s nothing but his mercy and grace that has me here! Thank – you – Jesus!”

Anyway, as I was dressing for the day, I checked my email. I had a “nasty-gram” question in regards to a picture quote I shared about God (posted below). I decided to answer him even though he told me that he did not believe in God and that he was still a very loving person, but that I could take my God loving quote and shove it up where the sun does not shine. (I tweaked his choice of words).

Ummm…… yeah. Now where in the world did that come from?!!

20120709-093253.jpg

I said a prayer for him and then I had a few things I took to the Lord about responding to people in love as well as sharing the Gospel. There are many people who believe in God but do not have a relationship with him. There are many who do not believe in His exsistence at all. I cannot force my beliefs on anyone. I can only share my experience and lead them to the truth. God found me. I did not find him. I accepted him after realizing how much of a mess my life was without him.

We all have had different walks in life and how we came to know the Lord is a testimony in itself. God loved me first and forgave my sins. This is how I can love others despite cruel ways and nasty words and forgive them just the same.

Then it hit me…. this guy is searching for Truth. He isn’t mad at me. He does not even know me. I did not say anything to bash unbelievers. I merely posted something I found to be true. Maybe he has had some bad run-in’s with people who tried to force Jesus on him for all I know. Either way, he is lost in darkness and I pray that somehow and some way the Lord will provide an avenue for his love to consume the heart of this lost soul and that of others that they too will believe in the God who created the heavens and earth and reigns on his throne forevermore just as well as to repent, receive and develop a relationship with Christ Jesus.

I can’t say that the whole thing did not bother me though I really wondered what goes through the minds of those who reject and refuse to believe that God is real. My heart truly feels for them because they could be hellbound if their thought process does not begin to change. Sheesh.

So needless to say, I prayed as I drove back home. An awesome song came on the radio and just soothed my soul like a balm. How I wished I could have raised both of my hands in worhsip as I was driving! Instead, I worshipped in lip service and with a humble heart as the words sank in deep. I cannot get this song out of my head now so I thought I would share it with you all.

Be blessed one and all and take a moment to thank the Lord for a new day. You are still here for a purpose. Make the best of it and always seek his wisdom and guidance in all you think, say and do.

What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? Certainly not! For He says to Moses, I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion. So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. For the Scripture says to the Pharaoh, For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth. (Romans 9:14-17 NKJV)

He Who Has An Ear, Let Him Hear

HE WHO HAS AN EAR LET HIM HEAR

20120701-092731.jpg

Nothing new being done under the sun is new to God. There’s no new sin that has not already been committed.

The Bible speaks of events to come. It also has given us stories of events that have taken place so long ago. Same things are still being done. It’s just with new faces and updated techniques and tricks in this century and those of the past and future.

Like I tell my kids “Don’t ever think you can get away with anything. I’ve been there, done that or know someone who has. And if it passes by me or your Daddy for just a while, it will catch up with you sooner or later. The game doesn’t change. It’s just a new set of faces. Most importantly, you cannot hide what you’ve said or done from God. Remember that. He sees IT ALL.”

For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light. If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear. (Mark 4:22, 23 NKJV)

Could this be you? This has been many of us at times whether you are a born- again Christian or not. We all fall short of grace and have sinned like its nobody’s business. Temptation will find you. This world is full of desires that are pleasing to the eye. Yet ask yourself if they are worth partaking in.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:2 KJV)

Could this be you right now? (picture below)

20120701-094944.jpg

Are you installing soundproof installation to the Truth? I’m talking about God’s word. This Truth is the very thing we need in our lives to keep us, sustain us, encourage and protect us from the evil that always creeps around luring us in. This Truth is our guide, our manual, our path that leads to a narrow yet righteous way of living through Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

This is dangerous. Just like a house built on sinking sand, just like a house built with the most expensive type of installation to protect your home from heat and cold, it ALL can still crumble. It will sink, it will catch fire and burn down.

20120701-100437.jpg

Through wisdom a house is built, And by understanding it is established; By knowledge the rooms are filled With all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is strong, Yes, a man of knowledge increases strength; For by wise counsel you will wage your own war, And in a multitude of counselors there is safety. (Proverbs 24:3-6 NKJV)

Time is drawing near. We don’t know the day or hour that Christ will come back. Will you be ready?

Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. (Luke 12:40 NKJV)

The Parable of the Wheat and Tare
Another parable He put forth to them, saying: The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. (Matthew 13:24, 25 NKJV)

I’ve only given you a small scripture about the wheat and tare. I encourage you to read Matthew chapter 13 in its entirety. The parable of sowing seeds is beneficial. The ground on which it’s sown yields an abundance of fruit if planted on good soil. Any other ground is temporary and detrimental if the ground is not cultivated and not taken care of.

But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. (Matthew 13:23 NKJV)

He WHO HAS AN EAR LET HIM HEAR.

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God. (Revelation 2:7 NKJV)

* red denotes words spoken by Christ

May all that you from this point be edifying to the Lord. It’s not an easy task to follow but is worth the cost of following. Our Savior is the way.

Will you allow Him to lead you into a life everlasting?

God bless,

Terra

Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. (Matthew 7:13, 14 NKJV)

Order My Steps Dear Lord

20120606-113131.jpg

Many plans are in a man’s mind, but it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand. (Proverbs 19:21 AMP)

Let’s go back back in time…a little before 1991, the year I graduated from high school.

I grew up not really knowing the Lord with a solid foundation though I had a taste of going to church and seeing what a bit of it was about.

I had this desire in my heart when I was just a kid (around 10yrs old) to want to live my life for God even though I did not know where, why or how I came to feel the way I did. I even said to myself that I wanted to become a Nun! Little did I know about them, but I knew that they dedicated their lives to serving Him. I went to a Baptist church at the time I believe, so I’m sure I would have surprised them had I asked about becoming a Sister. ( Nun )

I use to dream about one day getting married to this Christian man and our first child was going to be a baby girl. We were always sitting in the pews holding her and listening to the sermon.

I never been to the beach my entire life growing up, but I knew that I wanted to get married on the beach. To a military guy at that. The whole nine yards! Yeah you can say that I was very descriptive as to what I wanted. My friends from high school said I always talked about wanting to have 10 kids. I STILL don’t recall saying that but I always knew that I wanted a lot of children.

Where in the world did all these thoughts come from?!!

For years I dreamed this same dream…. never to see the face of the man I was to marry. He was just a shadow image. Nothing else.

As prissy as I was (I still am by the way) who’d think that I would go off to the Army. My mom could barely get me to do the dishes without wearing gloves simply because I didn’t want to mess up my nail polish! I was respectful and all, I just thought things would work better with protected hands!

Anyway, a year passed after I graduated and l joined the U.S. Army. I signed my John Hancock on the dotted line, raised my hand in oath and before you knew it, this little Ohio girl was off to start her life. Little did I know, the life and career path I chose for myself would ultimately change a couple years later. I met my future husband, we both attended church together with the desire to live for Christ, fell in love and talked about our future.

Everything about my life I wanted and desired, I wanted the Lord to be the head of it. I wanted his perfect will. I remember praying and telling the Lord that I loved Tim and I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him BUT if he was not the man for me then I would not marry him as hard as I know it would be to let him go, I would give up my desire and plans just to have his ( God’s ) perfect plan for my life.

As a couple, we waited to hear from the Lord. It was His will that we be joined together as man and wife, it was His will that I was to not re-enlist and commit more years to serving my country as a soldier, it was His will that I become a mother to 6 children and be a stay at home mom while my husband be the sole provider and head of household not just as a man, but a God fearing man who would lead his family in the way God planned him to.

Me becoming a wife, a MOTHER to many when my doctor told me as a teenager that I would likely be infertile and not be able to have children was a dream come true! My heart, my desires, my prayers, my direction wanted to be aligned with the Lords even before I knew him personally.

Man says one thing but the Lord has the final say. My stair-step children are proof that God is ABLE! Though I never worried as a teen, I just knew that I was going to give birth to children one day after I married. No one could tell me any different. It was a confidence and assurance of faith.

As I sat in the car this morning, I began to write this inspiration while waiting for the school doors to open up while looking at my kids as they laughed and talked.

I am where I am suppose to be.

This feels really good to know that I have not totally gone off of my own GPS over the years, but that of the Lord’s. We can never go wrong if we truly want our lives to be successful. The road is long and the journey isn’t always foreseen, but God sees it all. Past. Present. Future.

It’s not about the educational degrees, the finer things in life, the status quo of this world that makes me successful or complete. It’s not even about being married and have children though all the listed above are great blessings, it’s about being a child of The Most High. To have salvation, to live my life serving Him and doing His will until I am called home is the greatest gift I could ever receive. I am complete in God as long as I have Him.

Well I believe I am done right about now. Just thought I would share with you all a bit about my life and the musings that run through my head every now and then.

To God be the glory. I am thankful for another day of life. Speaking of His goodness can go on and on if its the Lord’s will that I see another breath, but if not…my thoughts, prayers and writings are found throughout this blog.

Be blessed and thankful for the small things. Look to God and ask Him to search your heart. Let Him make you over.

Let’s Order Our Steps In The Lord.

In Christ with love,

Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4 NKJV)

“O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. You have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it. Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall fall on me, Even the night shall be light about me; Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You. For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mothers womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You.” (Psalm 139:1-18 NKJV)
