2 Corinthians 1:3-5 NIV
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.”
It’s in those quiet moments when I don’t know what to say or do that I find myself staring out the window if I’m not actually outside staring at the stars……. just watching in amazement of the creation God has placed before us. Yes my mind tends to wander off thinking about my day whether good or bad, but I tend to dream, think about those of you out there on the other side of my four walls wondering how you are doing, praying that the Lord continues to be the Light before your path. I think about the homeless, children out on the streets abandoned for whatever reason, those imprisoned in their minds as well as physical bondage. Everyday won’t be peaches and cream but I can’t help but care and hope and pray that God will rescue you in your time of hurt and despair, healing and closing wounds of the past and present hoping you will not give up waiting on Him.
Living simply in abundance. While we wait patiently on the Lord to come through, keep your eyes focused on him and not the problem. He IS our solution and the clock is set on his watch, not ours. Enjoy the life God has given you through all that is freely given to us such as the stars. Please forgive me if I seem to bounce around on this post but I am overjoyed that God has opened up some doors for me. What blessings I’ve received that seem to overflow! I’m grateful for the smallest things that He gives me like a butterfly passing by me, the stars shining brightly on a night I just can’t seem to fall asleep, a beautiful sunset, my wind chime! Can you believe I get excited over such things. God knows that these things make me happy! You’d think I won a bunch of money or a car or something but I find simple happiness in the things we all tend to take for granted. LIFE is another. Yes we may be facing hardship but we are alive right?!! God has blessed us with another day to see things with a different prospective. Waiting on an answer(s) with patience takes effort. Try to look for the positive in your day before you start complaining. Take a look around and see that you are blessed more than you know. God is in control and he WILL come through. Just wait and see. I did. If you could only see the brightest smile on my face. It’s priceless and I owe it ALL to my Heavenly Father. Dear friends, just know on those starry nights that you have a friend out there somewhere praying for you and I happen to be one of them. Much love to you all in Christ Jesus,
Terra
* Dear Father God, I pray for my friends today/tonight wherever they are. I pray that their steps are ordered in Your Word. May your manual for Life be embedded upon their hearts as they journey through their walk with You. Light their path with the great abundance of creation around them. May the sun, moon and stars be theirs, shining brightly upon each step they take. Wrap them in love and comfort of the Holy Spirit. Nourish their souls and give them strength to endure one day at a time, not adding any more stress to the current day for tomorrow isn’t promised to any of us. These things I ask and pray in the name of Jesus your Son. Amen
