In Whom Do We Trust?

In Whom Do We Trust?

My Lord, I pray that we take our eyes off of man, his words and actions and place our full trust in You. Your word says : Every way of a man  is  right in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs the hearts. (Proverbs 21:2 NKJV)

There is a way  that seems  right to a man, But its end  is the way of death. (Proverbs 14:12 NKJV)

Now that many have gotten their undies in a bunch and twist over this USA election, we should ask ourselves In Whom Do We Trust. Are we trusting man or are we trusting God?  I personally do not get caught up in politics. Am I for justice? Sure I am but I side with God as my leader. Not President  Barack Obama and not Mitt Romney had he won the election instead. People would still find something to be angry and upset about had Romney won and we know it to be true.

Nothing that is going on takes God by surprise so why should it surprise you? People are panicking and stressing all about the economy and issues with morals and values when this is something that has been a part of society since the world became corrupt. Sin stepped in and messed things all up.

Yes we live in a land that’s free and I wonder have we become spoiled. Think about all these third world countries that are still suffering, all the lives that are paying the cost for not siding with their countries beliefs simply because they want justice.

Christians will be persecuted for the sake of belonging to Christ as we already know. The Bible tells us this. Now think for a moment. If we all lived in physical bondage and poverty ,would we still slam authority for putting us in this position regardless if we disagree on religious beliefs since homosexuality and abortion issues are hot topics?

Maybe I’m losing myself in this post a bit but I am frustrated and hurt to see how some people ( saved and unsaved alike )are acting and how they are responding on these social media sites.

As Christians we are called to be the salt and light of the earth. We are ambassadors for Christ. Lets act like it.

How effective are we being as a whole when negative seeds are being planted against our authority with our words? How can we win souls if we are acting just as worldly as those still in darkness? Who wants to be a Christian if they see us so-called righteous folk acting just as foul as they are?

As a side note, look at how easily people can confuse their salvation based on their good works. Sinners can still do good things and have compassionate hearts but they lack the key element that secures their eternity in heaven. Lets stay on the straight and narrow. We are to be examples bearing good fruit not speaking ill words that produce death. Remember that there is power of life and death in the tongue. (Proverbs 18 : 21, 17: 28, James 1 : 26-27, Proverbs 15 : 1-4)

There will always be evil lurking, plotting and carrying out unrighteous plans and as human beings we fall bait to the distractions instead of the bigger plans that belong to The Lord.

A man’s thoughts and actions sway like the ocean. It can change at any given moment. We are not to put our hope in man but in The Lord at ALL times. We are called to pray for the nations. May we truly pray that the lost be found, that those in darkness come into the light, may we earnestly pray for those who speak and do evil whether they realize they are doing it intentionally or not. We are to bless and not curse.

Scripture says:
Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but  rather  give place to wrath; for it is written,  Vengeance  is  Mine, I will repay,  says the Lord. Therefore  If your enemy is hungry, feed him;  If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:17-21 NKJV)

Only God knows the true heart of us all and it is His judgement alone that has the final say. Let us cry out to God for justice, let us cry out to Him for leadership, wisdom and righteousness. Not just the United States of America but all nations.

May all the energy and time put into our opinion written on Facebook and Twitter and such on how bad things are and will get, instead how about us praying and lifting up one another and asking God to show mercy and grace, to open doors that no man can shut, to remove the blinders and deaf ears that they may be restored and to also rid us of self-righteous thinking because though we are not the President or an influential leader over this country, they need prayer and guidance too.We are all individuals who came from the dust of the earth. God made us. We did not make Him and only He has the right to toot His own horn.

God knows what’s going on. Realize that will you. Step aside and let God be God. If we trust Him, then trust Him no matter what is going on in this world. The Lord can change any situation in a blink of an eye if He wanted to.

Remember that we all have fallen short no matter who we are or what position in life we have, we were sinners before being saved by His grace.

These may be the end of the days as the Bible speaks of. Who knows. But ask yourself will you be ready. If circumstances changed so drastically and you had to choose between surviving just to receive daily necessities to live or choose Jesus Christ, do you really know without a shadow of a doubt that you would choose Christ and believe that you would be taken care of because His word tells us so or not? Our mouths say one thing and our actions can say something totally different when faced with choices. Never say what you won’t do because we have prime examples in the Bible of believers who betrayed ( Judas Iscariot ) and denied (Peter) Jesus. Does throwing Him under the bus sound more modernized for you? We throw Him under the bus more than we know when we sin, when we make the wrong decision when we KNOW that it is wrong. We don’t speak up when we are called to all the time because we get caught in people pleasing and trying to win favor with others. Remember that Pilate washed his hands before the multitude as to cleanse his hands of the blood of an innocent man named Jesus. (Matthew 27)

Honestly, no one really knows what a person’s motives really are and why they make the decisions that they do when a history of principles, values and integrity have been a foundation for years except for God Almighty. The best we can do is take a look in the mirror and ask the Lord to show us just how jacked up we are inside before we go passing judgement on someone else’s decisions. We all are in need of help to be fixed and cleaned up. That is why we have Jesus. Only He is pure and His walk is that which we strive to live like.

Be rooted in the Word, have faith and trust in God to provide.

Pray without ceasing and believe that anything is possible with The Lord as our Sovereign leader for He is the Chief of Staff over this entire universe. No one, I say NO ONE can win or take His position ever.

God bless every eye and ear to receive His truth and know with certainty that it comes from above.
