Every day is a new day. It may not be what you want or how you make like it but it is here among the living. When I began to think on the goodness of the Lord when I arise in the mornings, I have to humble myself and praise Him who is my Everlasting Hope and Treasure.

Eyes to see, ears to hear and a body that is able can overcome any obstacles in Christ Jesus for He is our hope. Our strength for today lies within Him. He is our Refuge, our Shelter in storms and our Foundation to keep a steady mind and foot during adversities. My heart has been prayerful for you dear reader. Know that God is present and sees all things. My words seem as if they are few to me in my own mind and sight because I can pour our much more but my heart is full with eagerness, faith, hope and prayer that you will have a good report amongst yourselves as you think about just how good the Lord has been to you.

Just like the above picture I took, I see each day and moment as a bud awaiting to bloom next to the flowers that have already came forth. What I am trying to say is that reflection should take place upon the many blessings God has already given you. Life itself is one of them so that is a daily blessing. All of your good days should outweigh your bad days as the song belong states. Do not forget and become unthankful for what you already have. Difficulties will come and storms will arise but trust in the One who has already delivered you. His mercy and grace has covered a multitude and for that we ought to just say Thank You Lord for there are many souls lost and walking in darkness who have yet to realize that He is able to sustain those who call upon Him.

May your thoughts today and everyday begin to align with the God’s Word and promises. The Bible tells us: Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6 NKJV)

Lyrics to I Won’t Complain :

[Verse1:]
I’ve had some good days
I’ve had some hills to climb
I’ve had some weary days
And some sleepless nights
But when I look around
And I think things over
All of my good days
Out-weigh my bad days
I won’t complain

[Verse2:]
Sometimes the clouds are low
I can hardly see the road
I ask a question, Lord
Lord, why so much pain?
But he knows what’s best for me
Although my weary eyes
They can’t see
So I’ll just say thank you Lord
I won’t complain

[Chorus:]
The Lord Has been so good to me
He’s been good to me
More than this old world or you could ever be
He’s been so good, To me
He dried all of my tears away
Turned my midnights into day
So I’ll just say thank you Lord

[Adlib:]
I’ve been lied on
But thank you Lord
I’ve been talked about
But thank you Lord
I’ve been misunderstood
But thank you Lord
You might be sick
Body reeking with pain
But thank you Lord
The bills are due
Don’t know where the money coming from
But thank you Lord
Thank you Lord
Thank you Lord

[Chorus:]
I want to thank God
Has been so good to me
He’s been good to me
More than this old world or you could ever be
He’s been so good
He’s been so good
He’s been so good
So good
So good
So good
So good
To me
He dried all of my tears away
Turned my midnight into day

[Ending:]
So I’ll just say thank you Lord,
I won’t complain

  1. Words of great wisdom so beautifully expressed. Thank you for sharing, and may God continue to bless you.

    • Thank you so much Pastor Davis. With that said, I want to thank you for the blessing of your video post “The Time Is Now For You To Write The Vision Given To You”….. it really grabbed my heart and left me speechless! I’ve had those times when I wasn’t writing them until I learned over time how important it is do such.

God bless you just as much for encouraging us all with the Word!

  2. Powerful words! I know that your blog encourages so many women. You have the gift of exhortation and encouragement (among others, I’m sure). You are a treasure! I think it is amazing that you are praying over your readers and encouraging and exhorting them to press on through circumstances or difficult times because He has already delivered them! He has the victory. He has already conquered. It is finished. He has won. I love your posts. Always encouraging, always full of blessing and always remind me of the goodness of our God. Thanks Terra! Blessings!

    • I am so filled up with smiles and gratitude, Kirsten. You just do not realize how humbled I am by your loving and uplifting words that encourage me beyond belief. I am thankful to our God that I have siblings in Christ who see my heart and the pureness of what my heart pours out. I have to stop at times to keep from shedding tears! I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I may repeat myself many of times but I will always give credit to the Lord for this gift of exhortation. I LOVE to encourage and pray for you all! Our God is a good and marvelous God. What more can I say?!! Plenty more but you get it! He keeps us, loves us and protects us.

Awesome God and an awesome Sister I have! ((HUGS))

  3. Some people don’t stop to realize what God has truly given up for us. Even those who do know most don’t care, those who do care spread it to those who have difficulties believing. Prayers continued to all is needed Believers or not. Your words excellent in theme, your heart in place, and your mind on God will help many transform.

    • You have made a good point. I pray that we who do know The Lord continually be renewed in our minds and to be thankful for everything we have been blessed with if nothing more than Jesus Christ himself which is more than enough. For those who have yet to know and to have a relationship with Him, I pray they seek Him for Who He is and give thanks for the mercy and grace that none of us deserved or earned along with His blessings on and in this earth.

Thank you so much for stopping by to share!

      In Christ,

      Terra

  4. Yes Lord! It’s far too easy to let the negative thoughts drown out the positive ones, but we have so, SO much to be thankful for! Hallelujah!

  5. Hi Terra, it is so good to give thanks to God, your reminder was a blessing, we have much to be grateful for, He tells us His plans for us are good not evil….

Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Over that last 5 years I have known much suffering and heartbreak but God has upheld me and at times I have cried with deep inner Joy as The Holy Spirit touched my Heart with Jesus’ great Love and compassion. I don’t thank God for the pain or problems I have because I know they are not by His hand as the Scripture below tells us, He does not willingly afflict us but as you shared so beautifully Terra, He is always with us, therefore I thank Him in every situation good or bad for His constant Love and strengthening during these times.

Lamentations 3: 33 For He doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

God bless you and your Loved ones greatly Terra, now and always.

Christian Love from both of us – Anne.

    • Excellent is our Father above! Anne, your testimony of the Lord’s goodness through the good and bad times encountered is a message of truth and hope!! Praise be to Him on high!!

I thank you for adding the scriptures; they tie in so well to this post. My heart is uplifted and delighted for I know God leads me to write of such encouragement that it feeds my soul just as well as I have done in obedience to you all who read. Blessings to you my friend! It’s been a while since we’ve caught up!

Much love in Christ to you and Ron,

      ~Terra

  6. You ALWAYS ALWAYS encourage me and lift my spirits with everything you write. I especially needed this encouragement (Thank you, Lord) today. I have been struggling with lots of negative response to a post I wrote two weeks ago, Jesus Loves Homosexuals. So, hearing from you today was truly a blessing. Thank you, Lord, for my friend Terra. She is such a blessing to me. I am grateful that you brought us together in Christ’s love to share our hearts with each other.

    • Brother Steven, I am always blessed by your kind words as I encourage. Thank you Lord for using me to reach others for Your glory!

I am sorry to hear about the negativity you are facing but be encouraged everyday. You know what scripture says about us being persecuted for His name sake.

“As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”(Romans 8:36 KJV)

Jesus loves us all. We all have sinned of various forms which is why He went to the cross as a pardon to save us and make us right with the Father. Some of us have reconciled ourselves by seeing just how deep in sin we are and that we needed redemption. We needed His salvation. While others such as homosexual, thieves, adulterers, murderers etc have yet to surrender, there is still hope while the time is still present. Jesus forgave many of their sins. He hung out with those who needed to see LOVE; no condemnation. We are to love just as He did.

Continue to look to Christ. Be encouraged and go forward in Him speaking and doing what is righteous and holy. Let nothing be of self but of He who speaks through you.

      God bless you!
