Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, saying: “ ‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord !’ Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.” But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.” (Luke 19:37-40 NKJV)
It’s 12:04 A.M. and I cannot fall asleep for nothing. I have this praise on the inside of me that I just cannot keep to myself!
People lets get it together and praise The Lord simply for just keeping His hand over us, for giving us life yet another second, minute and hour. We have done or said nothing to deserve grace and mercy but we have it! Salvation has been made available to all who will receive it. We are no longer enslaved to the bondage sin. Christ has set us free!
So I say praise Him anyway! The sun will not always shine down on you, circumstances may not always change in your favor but God is loving, faithful and deserving of our praise just because He IS!
Seriously can you or would you allow the rocks to praise Him instead?!! He died for YOU. Remember that.
Praise to The Lord From Creation
Praise the Lord ! Praise the Lord from the heavens; Praise Him in the heights! Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts! Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all you stars of light! Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, And you waters above the heavens! Let them praise the name of the Lord , For He commanded and they were created. He also established them forever and ever; He made a decree which shall not pass away. Praise the Lord from the earth, You great sea creatures and all the depths; Fire and hail, snow and clouds; Stormy wind, fulfilling His word; Mountains and all hills; Fruitful trees and all cedars; Beasts and all cattle; Creeping things and flying fowl; Kings of the earth and all peoples; Princes and all judges of the earth; Both young men and maidens; Old men and children. Let them praise the name of the Lord , For His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven. And He has exalted the horn of His people, The praise of all His saints— Of the children of Israel, A people near to Him. Praise the Lord ! (Psalms 148:1-14 NKJV)

Amen. Nature has a way of obeying God’s commandments. Rocks remind us to be still. But when God commands the storms the rocks are moved only to His voice. Beautiful post and picture Terra.

Amen amen amen! Love your post. I love praise and worship and I can also relate to midnight and not sleeping. 🙂 But sometimes my lack of sleep is little ones trying to crawl in my bed and I don’t necessarily feel prompted toward intercession. 🙂 Wish that was always the case with me, but no. Sleep. Sleep. But, I do sometimes wake up in the not thinking about Jesus and all He has done and if we can’t thank Him, He can raise an army of bones. And all of creation worships Him. And so we shall worship and praise Him. So blessed by your blog girlfriend! And, I just moved into a new place….used similar colors to what you have on your background now. I feel so proud of myself. I am so inspired by you on pinterest. Blessings!
Praises ring in the heavens and earth as we glorify Him in praise and worship! You are such a true treasure and I thank The Lord for you!! I give credit where it’s due and it’s Christ Jesus within me as the Holy Spirit guides me!
I have been where you currently are with little ones so I know what it feels like to want sleep. I still do! With 5 kids aging 17,15,14,13 and the youngest is 11yrs old ( Hannah ) I still am up for various reasons especially if someone gets sick and passes it around! But it’s those refreshing moments when the Spirit just won’t relent and I have to respond. I have learned this over time because my obedience to write or to get up and go pray comes with a price and reward. I never know who may need intercession or a word from The Lord through me so I want to be that willing vessel every time I am being called upon.
Be encouraged because you are encouraging me and others just as well. God knows how the parenting and life tasks come and exhaust us so keep pressing on in His strength and joy! Your faithfulness is rewarded!
