Turning Point

Hey there. It’s me.. Terra. The stranger on the other side of this message that you are reading. I know we don’t know one another but I just wanted to share some words of truth and encouragement with you because I care about you and your soul.

Why you may ask? Because Jesus loves you so so very much and you need to hear it, feel it and believe it to come to that turning point in your life of surrender to Him. You need Him, I need Him, the whole world needs Him. We can have a life of eternity in heaven and all that comes with being loved, forgiven of all our sins no matter what we’ve done and become sons and daughters. We can have the true meaning of life while we are still here if we turn our lives around for good. Giving up our “old man” to live as a new person in Christ Jesus is worth it. It won’t always be easy but it’s well worth the change.

For too long we’ve grown accustomed to doing what we want to do, say what we want to say and live how we want to live for the most part. But at the end of the day it’s all meaningless if we don’t have Jesus in our lives. Will will that turning point come? There will never be a right time, right day or hour because the next second of breath isn’t promised to any of us.

I encourage you to reflect on your life and ask yourself how’s it all going for you. Now don’t be deceived by the lies of the devil or even your own thinking. How easily we are fooled. No matter how rich you may be, how well life is going for you because you “got this” down pact and life is looking pretty good from your angle you got it all!!! Right?? (Buzzer sound) I’m sorry but you are wrong. Now let’s flip it because you’ll still be wrong if you think you don’t need Him because you’ve struggled all your life, nothing good seems to come your way, you can’t catch a break and it’s as if you are living in hell mentally and physically. You may even believe that the most Holy God is not worth your time. You don’t believe in Him. You are your own god. Then again you may be giving your life to any false god and religion that you’ve known for years so that has to be right. It just had to be. Wrong again and again and again.

It is only Christ Jesus the Son of God who can turn your life around. He became flesh and died on the cross for all of our sins so that we could have eternal life and be reconciled back to the Father through His ultimate sacrifice. He didn’t have to come down from heaven where it was comfortable and life was all good but He did. No other god has done that. God the Father saw past our sins and saw our greatest need. We needed a Savior, we needed to be totally cleansed of our sins. In order for a relationship to be restored and our lives to be transformed and we are renewed in our thinking which in turn changes when we see with our spiritual eyes and love one another while showing mercy and grace because we’ve all made mistakes we must surrender a life of old for a life of new.

That turning point comes in and through Jesus Christ. Give it some thought. And if you believe anything I say in the least bit, I encourage you to pray and ask Jesus to come into your life, make Himself known to you even in your doubt because you want to believe. Step out in faith and try Him for yourself. We’ve all taken chances in various areas of our lives from what we believe on television, to what others tell us, what we’ve seen and heard to even following the crowd. We take chances on relationships without really knowing if someone is lying to us, foods and medications without truly knowing if they will harm us. Right? We believe in what we cannot see or know right away. I say all of this to give examples because it’s true. But at what point will change take place?

Turning Point. Choose life in Christ. I’ve tried Him for myself. You don’t have to believe me. You can try Him for yourself and I pray that you do because care about you and your life. Here on earth and for eternity.

God bless you, God keep you and may you come and accept His gift of Love.

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.”

Recycled Sin: Has it become a trend to the point that we are accepting it as truth??

Are you wondering what Recycled Sin means? Take a look at the pictures below. See if you can figure it out before reading the rest of the post.

20120724-184107.jpg

Okay so how about this one?

20120724-184313.jpg

So I’m sure you are wondering what I meant by my title Recycled Sin.

Well I will tell you. No sin is new sin. It keeps going and going and going. God is not gasping as He watches us. He knows our very thoughts, words and actions before we commit them whether they are good or bad.

Heaven and Hell is REAL.

Time and time again we take chances. We convince ourselves that if we are good people that we will make it into heaven. Now hear me when I say that I am not judging anyone and I surely have no power to put anyone in heaven or hell BUT my walk with the Lord can be a reflection of how I live my life and where I want to go when I leave this earth.

God is our Judge and He alone will decide where we go for eternity.

Good works will not get any one of us into heaven. If we have not accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, if we have not received salvation…. our decision is taking us to one place or the other.

IT’S TIME TO WAKE UP PEOPLE.

When we know in part, we should live out what we believe. We cannot take the Bible and sugarcoat pieces of it just so that we can still have “the best of both worlds”. This does not cut it with God.

The Bible tells us that we cannot serve two Masters. We will love and serve one or the other. This does not apply only to money as people tend to naturally think about because it’s like a well known slogan especially when and if we do not know God’s word for ourself.

Satan himself knows that God is real yet I can say that he was still dumb enough to try and take God’s position. Before you know it he was given the ole heave-ho into hell along with those who followed him.

Be careful and be not deceived. Satan knows Scriptures just like us. He can take them and twist them to make you believe that what you see, hear, speak and believe is the truth. He lies, he sugarcoats and can get you to believe anything unless you come back at him with the Word of God.

Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You. (Psalm 119:11 NKJV)

Let’s take a look at Who could NOT be fooled.

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread. But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: He shall give His angels charge over you, and, In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. Jesus said to him, It is written again, You shall not tempt the Lord your God. Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me. Then Jesus said to him, Away with you, Satan! For it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve. Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him. (Matthew 4:1-11 NKJV)

Whether its lying, adultery, homosexuality, or whatever it is that was spoken by God that is considered as sin, people treat it as if it’s a trend; that it is normal because it has been done for centuries; that it is acceptable as to not wanting to hurt anyone’s feelings or that you will not fit in though your mind and heart tells you that you just do want to stand OUT because you know the truth.

So who are we siding with? Do we really care where someone is going for eternity?

I get the pause and cricket syndrome when I ask if a person had salvation before he/she passed away.

Sadly I hate to say that it happens too often. Recently I found out that someone who was supposedly not living a life as a heterosexual passed away. Now whether it was true or not, it is not the big issue because one could be a murderer, rapist, cheater or a pathological liar. If they did not repent of their sins, if they did not receive salvation they likely are not spending eternity in heaven. I say likely because anything can take place in between the last minutes/days of life.

God knows and sees the heart for what’s true and what’s not.

I’m not playing judge and I am not pointing fingers but the Bible tells us clearly what’s true. There is no gray area.

Heaven or Hell. Isn’t that clear enough? Perhaps not for some. I pray that this mindset will become less and less and the fear of where one will be for eternity will kick in.

Where’s the compassion, where’s the love and concern? Are we too wrapped up in pleasing man instead of God? If we love and care the way we say we do then we will speak up.

No coaxing, no sugarcoating, no taking a blind eye and deaf ear to the very things we know are WRONG. Let’s do right by God when conviction sets in our heart. ( if we know the truth )

There is a time and place for everything and a way of handling people and circumstances. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was a living example to us all as to how to treat people. He hung out with those we would turn our noses up to or be quick to open our mouths and call them out on their sin, yet without taking a look in the mirror and seeing our own.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, (Romans 3:23 NKJV)

Does casting stones sound familiar?

So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first. (John 8:7 NKJV)

I encourage you to read this entire chapter being that a portion of it is talking about an adulterous woman who was about to be stoned to death for her sin but Jesus set the record straight.

Living Sacrifices to God

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:1, 2 NKJV)

Scriptures to read and meditate on:
Romans 8 ( in its entirety )

Let’s wake up and take life seriously. To appease others can cause a soul to spend eternity in hell. Think about it and act. Remember that we will all be held accountable for our actions. Is pacifying sin worth the cost?

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31 NKJV)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. (Proverbs 3:5-7 NKJV)

Praise The Lord While You Can Because It Cannot Be Heard From The Grave

20120429-223147.jpg

For the grave cannot praise you,
death cannot sing your praise;
those who go down to the pit
cannot hope for your faithfulness. (Isaiah 38:18 NIV)

May we not take it upon ourselves to think and rationalize that we only need to praise the Lord when only the good is going on in our lives. We should praise him at ALL times. What good can be done from the grave?

What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit. (the grave)? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your truth and faithfulness to men? (Psalm 30:9 AMP)

Jesus reigns. He lives forever. He’s our shelter during the storms, our Refuge when we are in need of help and an everlasting Friend Who loves us unconditionally. He deserves more than what we give him and the mere fact that it’s conditional. May we break away from selfish thinking of our wants and needs and see to the desires and plans He has for us and those of others that we are called to go out and attend to.

Call out to Him and just tell him that you love him, praise him through adversity, praise him through your healing and deliverance for its on the way! If you believe on the Word of God and know it to be true, praise him even when you can’t see the outcome!

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1 NKJV)

As an ambassador for Christ, I pray to go all the way doing the very things that he asks me to do, to say what needs to be said as I fall into alignment with the Holy Spirit. Whether I’m writing, blogging, emailing, conversing over the phone or ministering out on the streets, I ask the Lord to be my all and all even if I feel myself growing weary and falling apart.

May I take my place to rest in him until I am rejuvenated and ready to continue my journey. My life isn’t over yet. There is work still to be done. I may feel like a bag of bones if my body is ailing me but it’s my spirit and love for others that drive me to press on in Christ.

How blessed I am to see another day. (you are too) It’s a new day to do work, to go out and plants seeds in hope that they will bear fruit when it is harvest season. I work not to gain reward from man but that of our heavenly Father. My prize awaits me in heaven though many blessings have been showered down upon this earth for us who are called His.

I can wake up and smile, singing within my soul and professing with my mouth that God is good! Don’t you know?!! Don’t you know this for yourself to be true?

Hallelujah!! Praise be to our Lord!!

I thank You Lord for being the head of my life! I thank you for being my solid ground on sinking sand. My Rock, My Fortress, My Strong Tower, My Redeemer, My King, My first Groom. What a Foundation I have in You that my life can continue to grow upon.

20120502-103316.jpg

Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. (Ephesians 2:19-22 NKJV)

He’s praiseworthy so let’s rejoice! God bless you brothers and sisters in the Lord. Let your light shine!

Salt Shaker: Let Your Light Shine

20120320-072907.jpg

Believers Are Salt and Light

13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
( Matthew 5:13-16 NKJV )

We are in perilous times when our faith will be tested. Will you stand? Will you cower down and not say a word? Jesus is calling us out to keep our salt flavored and to use it; not to keep it covered or hidden. This is a mighty dark world we live in and it is not getting any better. Until our Savior comes back for us, be a light in the middle of darkness. Do not be ashamed and do not conform on any level.

HE’S NOT ASHAMED OF YOU SO PLEASE DON’T BE ASHAMED OF HIM

People are dying every day not knowing of Christ or the salvation he’s given. Those of us in Christ already know of his goodness and mercy and we can testify to that. It’s time to share in spirit and in truth amongst those who do not.

LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE!

20120320-100809.jpg

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), (Ephesians 5:8, 9 NKJV)
