Morning Dew

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (II Corinthians 12:9, 10 NKJV)

There’s always a lesson to be learned when going through your life journey. Struggle in the mind and body comes and goes. Time passing may even seem as if it will not relent. God sees every tear, every moment that rips the very core of your heart.

Don’t stop now. Keep walking.

Battles are ongoing but the victory has already been won. God already knows the outcome. Wait on His timing! Praise Him while you wait, think on good things of the Lord and where He has already brought you from. You know He’s faithful, right?

Don’t stop now. Keep walking.

You turned my lament into dancing; You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, so that I can sing to You and not be silent. Lord my God, I will praise You forever. (Psalms 30:11, 12 HCSB)

Weeping is temporary but joy is coming in the morning. Wait on the Lord, find peace in chaos, and rest I say in His faithfulness. Our Lord will come through for you. Hold fast to this truth. Wipe your teary eyes and look up…….

The Morning Dew has arrived.

Love, prayers and blessings to every heart and mind on the battlefield. Be encouraged.

Optimism vs Pessimism : With God, All Things Are Possible

20121230-203645.jpg

And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. (Mark 10:27 KJV)

While I physically feel like it will take me forever to type out this post, I am adamant to get it done. Whenever I am facing a hardship ( usually ) and I feel that tugging on my heart and conscience to carry out something for The Lord, I tend to think about the scroll story Jeremiah and Baruch had to dictate and write in the book of Jeremiah chapter 36. The fact that he had to rewrite by hand a message from The Lord after the first one was burned up took great effort mentally and physically. Obedience plays a major factor. Its repercussions can result in good or bad reaping and sowing on the life of others as well as yourself. In today’s day and age we have computers and touch screens as well as voice recognition to help us dictate our writings. So though my hands are throbbing like crazy, I have no excuse as to why I cannot go forward.

On to the message.

For some days now, the topic dealing with being optimistic vs pessimistic has been heavily on my mind. I have had a full plate mentally as I have had to make choices as sorrow and tears have come over me. The enemy surely will ride your back when it comes to having to do what’s right, speak what’s right and do what’s right. Doubt kicks in and attempts to take over.

What a conniving liar he is. Spiritual battles are not easy but rest assured they are easier to get through when we wait patiently on The Lord and lean not to our own understanding and thoughts of how we feel things should go. The process may seem long and full of sorrow and suffering but I am here to tell you that the storm shall soon pass. Just hold on!

Like a maze that knowingly puts you at multiple dead ends, it’s easy to give up and call it quits. All you see is NO WAY OUT. You will think and speak negatively.

Do you realize that you are speaking this into the atmosphere?

On the other hand, allowing yourself to stop and think with an open and clear mind, possibilities are endless. Especially when you seek help from God. There’s no way you will be stuck forever if you rely on Him for help.

If we trust God, then why not look UP and believe that He will make a way out of what may seem to be no way.

Speaking truth and promises of The Lord into the atmosphere is what we should be doing no matter how long it takes. This is when our faith needs to be kicking down doubt and standing fast to what we believe.

Obstacles come and go. Some hurdles may be higher than others but allow perseverance to keep you moving especially when you know that God is able to do exceedingly more than what we imagine He can.

I grew up around people with negative attitudes. It felt like it was 24/7. At a young age, I seen that having that type of mindset was not how I wanted to live. Yes, television can give you false hope and perception of having a perfect life and all as a kid , but I must say that I had this inner burning desire to come up out of the mental pit that tried to consume me.

Always staring out of the window or dreaming of how I wanted my life to be gave me hope even before I gave my life to The Lord. I use to talk to God at night or when I was alone asking and begging Him to help me. I felt lost, alone and hopeless at times yet I found myself picking myself up and finding reasons to smile because I just knew that one day…. ONE DAY my prayers were going to be answered!

Despite the influence that was around me, despite what looked like “it’s never going to happen” I chose to believe in the unseen.

Like so much of the horrible things that this life seems to bring, I can always keep an optimistic attitude that one day there will be no more sorrow, no more pain, no more tears and no more hatred because God said so.

I believe in Him and I believe what He says! He’s not a liar and He can not go back on His word.

So while I may still ask myself time to time why do I smile so much or why do I choose to have an optimistic attitude about life even when my natural eye sees the worse, its because God placed this attribute; this characteristic way of thinking inside of me for a reason even before I ever came to know Him better than I have so many years ago. I’m still a work in progress but my hope for myself and for you will not stop because I’m a believer!

God has blessed me and favored me many times over. He has seen past my faults and negative thinking and saw the best in me. He knows my potential and what I am capable of doing. He knows this for you too!

So why not decide today to take a leap of faith and a mindset to start thinking positively for yourself and for the future? What do you have to lose?!!

Troubles of this world will not end until God brings it all to a halt. Why wait to have optimism later on when you can have it today. God’s word ( Holy Bible) is full of promises and instructions. It’s full of hope for the poor, the weak, the broken hearted, the ailing, the widow, the hopeless and weary in soul. We have been given direction and a peace of mind we can take hold on to. He gave us Jesus Christ, He has given us a Comforter. The Holy Spirit.

Dear Reader, I encourage you to not grow faint and weary. Do not give up. God will show up right on time. His timing is better than any. Patience will take you a long way. The growing process and the knowledge it brings can only bring forth great gain for it can help someone else down the road. God can turn trials to triumphs, losses to victories, tears of sorrow to tears of joy, mourning to rejoicing and negative thinking to positive ones if we take hope and cling to it in Him.

Voluntarily place yourself on the Potter’s Wheel and ask to be made over, refined and made whole with a better sense of thinking, understanding and patience as you count it all joy for His glory and the betterment of yourself as His child and as a living example to the many blessings and miracles that He has done in your life when the world sees no hope.

Hope. Trust. Believe.

O Lord , you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord , you know it altogether. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it. Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night,” even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with you. For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I would count them, they are more than the sand. I awake, and I am still with you. Oh that you would slay the wicked, O God! O men of blood, depart from me! They speak against you with malicious intent; your enemies take your name in vain! Do I not hate those who hate you, O Lord ? And do I not loathe those who rise up against you? I hate them with complete hatred; I count them my enemies. Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting! (Psalms 139:1-24 ESV)

Time & Seasons

20121213-092405.jpgPhoto Credit: etsy.com

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 KJV)

Nothing in life has a guarantee but Jesus and all that is given to us from the Father. Like seasons… people, places, circumstances and health changes.

There is a season to every matter in life. God allows this to happen for a reason. We may not always understand the “when/where/why” part of it all, but if we allow The Lord to do what He does for our healthy wellbeing then I pray we trust in the outcome even if it hurts.

Letting go will not always be easy. Looking back seems tempting but will not help us one bit. Sorrow is temporary but joy will return. Pruning is needed at times for new fruit to bear and flourish. Prayerfully and patiently we should trust in what God is wanting to do in our lives. Attempting to do things our own way and with our own understanding can harm us in the long run.

Scripture says: There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. (Proverbs 14:12 NKJV)

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5 KJV)

Always remember that Father knows best. He knows us better than we know ourselves so may we stand back and allow Him to work in our lives for the sake of building us up and growing us far beyond the human thought of attainment.

Be blessed and encouraged as you pass through your season. Jehovah-Jireh ( God our Provider ) will supply and bring comfort.

In Christ Jesus I urge to to keep hope, faith and belief in all that our Lord promises to do for those who love Him and are called His.

Love and blessings,

Terra

O My Soul: In the midnight hour

20120123-141127.jpg
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:29, 30 NKJV)

My Lord, even through the darkest days I know that as long as I hold on to you, stand on Your word when there is nothing left to cling to, I shall rise above everything that comes up against me in attack. My strength is found within you. For when I am weak, You are at work building me up.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31 NKJV)

Take courage to stand. Stand for what’s right even if you have to travel the road alone. It may not be easy at all, but at the end, your obedience to God over the negative opinions, comments, dislikes, outcasting and various sufferings of persecution that comes along with following Christ will benefit you at the end. Perhaps you may see the reaping of some benefits sooner than later. The point is to not give in; to not cower and reason with man.

Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. Yes your heart may be wounded and inflicted with hurt from those you least expect but don’t let anything come as a surprise. The enemy is always at work looking for ways to distract you and tear you down.

You are a threat. Yes you sure are. You read it correctly. To whom you might ask? To Satan. Think about it. God is doing great works within you whether you see it or not. He’s building you up and preparing you for something ahead. Whatever it may be, it’s for the glory, honor and praise of the King.

If you think about it, just how much more/less is the enemy messing with those lost in darkness when he can bother those ( children of God ) who are messing up his plans? You are putting a dent in his work agenda.

Let no more sleepless nights and distracted days consume your mind. Take all things that are bothering you to Jesus. He knows the hurt. You will never overfill his to-do list. He will not be overloaded at all or get in a frenzy. If you have to go into your prayer closet every day, write him a letter, talk to him out loud just do it. And as you pray for healing, guidance and direction pray for those who inflicted pain directly or indirectly upon you. Let the Lord take vengeance into his hands. Not yours. You’ll be blessed to bless the life of others. Speaking out of anger or putting curses upon their head isn’t right. Being Christlike doesn’t strike back an eye for an eye.

So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; (James 1:19 NKJV)

Remember that the enemy can do no more to you than God will allow him. If anything, thank him for bothering you! If you stand and not be shaken by earthly ways of thinking and doing of man you will come out on top strengthened and refreshed, encouraged and ready to keep going forward in the plans God set out for you.

Bless your mind, body and spirit as you step out and STAND. If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything. Jesus is our Rock, our great Cornerstone. Pick up the Bible. Pray, read and apply it to your life. Believe that all will be taken care of. If no one has your back God does.

“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him.”Lamentations 3:22-25 NKJV

Dear friends, I encourage you to wait on the Lord. Stepping back and standing aside spending extra time with God being still and listening to his infinite wisdom is worth far more than you will ever know. Acting and speaking in the flesh will get the best of you if you let it. Love covers a multitude. Let go of the things you cannot change, pick and choose your battles but ultimately let God be your guide.

God bless each and every one of you.

❤ Love and hope in Christ always ❤

Dial 1-888- God- Help

20120103-080919.jpg

Today is a brand new day. Leave yesterday where it belongs and move forward! If you woke up this morning with premeditated thoughts of how bad your day is going to be for whatever reason, change your thought process. It’s not too late to make the wrongs right.

Call upon the name of the Lord and submit your cares and concerns before him. Nothing is too big or too complicated that He cannot fix it. Now don’t go looking in the phone book for the number because you won’t find it there! You will find every Tom, Dick, Jane and Sally in the yellow pages with businesses to help you with everything but what you really need. Only God Himself can provide services beyond man’s capabilities.

20120103-090252.jpg
Tomorrow has enough worries of its own so live today with purpose. Make it your business to put your best foot forward, speak with kindness and treat others with the respect as if God was standing visibly right next to you.

God loves you! Remember that. If you have breath in you, this day wasn’t given to you to be miserable. Choose how you want your day to go. Make up in your mind how you will let today affect you. It may not be great, but having the right attitude until things look brighter makes the wait worth while.

If you need to go into your prayer closet, GO! If you have a minute to spare ( you know you do! ) between your thoughts and what is about to come out your mouth and it’s not positive, GO! Make that call….. The Lord is waiting to hear from you.

( I’m sure He’s up to date on technology, so you can send text messages too. They are free of charge! Smile! You ARE His favorite child ya know. ) God stays awake 24/7 and answers in all languages and time zones. NO EXCUSE!

Standing In the Gap

20111026-205234.jpg

Dear Lord,

Someone is in need of Your presence right now. I don’t know who I’m praying for but my heart and spirit is calling me to intercede on their behalf…. to stand in the gap. I cry out to You to come rescue them in their time of need. Cover them with Your love, be a hedge of protection around them, The Rock, The Fortress, a place of refuge, the mother, father, sister, brother, the friend, Comforter, their everything that they need to make it through.

Hear my plea O Lord for tears are present. Hurt, pain and grief has struck their soul, doubting and wondering how they will make it. Most Holy One, I know you can make a way out of no way. Let them know that You are with them. Your presence is near. You have not forsaken them. I plead the blood of the Lamb, I rebuke those negative spirits. They have no choice but to flee in the name of Jesus.

Thank You for hearing my prayers. My love is with those who seek You even if they are unaware that they need to call on You. Bless them and keep them safe in Your arms. Peace be still. This storm soon shall pass. In Your everlasting Name I pray. Amen.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. (Romans 8:26 NIV)

The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. (Lamentations 3:25 ESV)

Bring The Rain

20110923-115709.jpg

What a Mighty God we serve believers! The Lord is good all the time and how excellent is His name. I pray that wherever you are that you call upon Him and praise his name just because He is Who he says he IS.

This is one of those rainy days when it’s typical of me to feel drained and lacking energy but oh no! What joy the Lord has placed in my heart today for his eyes are upon his beloveds; His children. He has given me a set of of spiritual eyes and ears as well as a sensitive spirit to speak to the heart of those seeking Him. I try not to be on my on schedule everyday without consulting with the Lord first so though I thought I was going to do something else, he directed me elsewhere. Through the Word, the Holy Spirit speaking to me, praise and worship music all I could do was lift up my hands and said Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God Almighty! One of my favorite songs by a christian band MercyMe is called Bring the Rain. Well it actually rained too in the literal sense! ( is still is by the way ) This songs talks about drawing nearer to God through everything that one could ever go through if it brings them closer to Him to bring him glory.

It’s those storms, dark valleys, heartbroken days, loneliness, depression, stumbling blocks, times of crying over situations and matters of the heart that seems as if light will never come and joy will never be restored. If difficult times is what is takes to draw me, draw you closer to Him then Bring the Rain dear Lord. It’s temporary and it will not last forever. There is always something to learn during such times as this. Count it joy when you go through. God is working something new in you. Will you catch on and run with it? We are clay in the hands of The Potter.

What’s a little rain compared to the beauty, the everlasting change in Christ we can have if we just humble ourselves before him and let the shaping of our Lord work in us. He knows what is in our best interest and it’s His love for us that looks past and beyond our sins, our guilts and shames that we tend to hold onto when He forgave us. He took our sins to the Cross. It’s finished! It’s done! Stop holding on to the things that He has set us free of. We are in bondage no more! Be free to live for the Lord. As long as we are on this earth, we will go through some rainy days. What matters is how we handle those those days. How we react, what comes forth out of our mouths makes a difference. Praise Him through the rain! God had not forgotten about you or your circumstances! Lean not to your own understanding my friends! Bask in the Presence of the Lord! He is our joy, our sunshine, our peace. Be still and know that He is Lord!

Take the time and be STILL. Allow Jesus to speak to your heart today. See what it is that he has to say to you. As the rain falls, it brings growth and a time of change and renewal. It cleanses your heart so you can see more clearer. Take a deep breath…. let go and let God have his way in you.

~ Terra

” Father God, I ask in the name of your Son Jesus that you touch the heart of those seeking you, those looking for brighter days ahead. Give them what they need to make it another day. May Your love, strength, peace and comfort be with them in the middle of their walk. Let them know that they are not alone. You are very present in their time of need. I thank you for blessing us all and giving us a new day to make a difference in how we choose to live. May it all be for Your glory. Amen. “

Please take a listen to this song below and listen to the words. Hope it blesses you just as much as it does me.
