Honestly…we will not always know what life will bring or where it will take us. But rest assured, we are safe when following the guidance of the Lord. Our safety will not necessarily come packaged the way we think.
Do you trust Him enough to walk into the unknown, to move into areas you are not familiar with?
However it may come and whatever it may be we can move in strength. His strength.
Over the past couple months I have found myself moving for Him, stopping for Him, loving for Him and being alone with Him. I want to bring Him glory and honor. I want to be all that I am called to be in this life. I know that I won’t always get it right or do it right the first time but I push myself to go the distance however long it may take.
Dear loves remember that every road taken will not be easy. You may even find yourself facing obstacles and roadblocks. You even may find yourself hurt emotionally and physically along the way.
Believe me. I know all too well.
As children of the Lord, we will suffer because He suffered. Following Him comes with a cost but remember that the reward outweighs it all. In the end our treasures will be greater than what we can ever imagine.
Will you still go? Will you stop when the going gets tough?
Sometimes we will be taken out of our comfort zones. Expect it. You can’t grow doing the exact same thing or stay in the exact same place expecting bigger and better results. Do take note that the small results are just as important if not more important.
Faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains. Obedience stretches us while teaching us some very valuable lessons. So whether it’s a lesson for us personally or a blessing for another to gain, God gets the glory from it all.
Our Lord will sustain you on your journey. He will not leave you without His strength for the road ahead.
Just take a deep breath, exhale and keep going.
The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds’ feet and will make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk] and make [spiritual] progress upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]! (Habakkuk 3:19 AMP)
This is exactly where my thinking has been for the past few months too! this was very inspirational and I am so glad to see you post, it’s been awhile but well worth the wait! As always your words are beautiful and full of so much insight.
What a wonderful set of words to bless my heart and welcome me back. It has been a bit but the Lords timing always works out. I am delighted to hear that you have been thinking the same way T. Much love to ya!
Terra, so good to read your posts again. You always encourage me.Sometimes I’m convicted. Sometimes I’m encouraged. I am always blessed. What a heart for Jesus you have. And you share with us. You are such a wonderful encouragement to me. I hope everyone in the family is doing well. Hope you are too. I look forward to reading more. God bless you my dear friend. Your brother in Christ, Steve
It’s a blessing to be back my dear brother. I am thankful to receive your warm and encouraging words Steven. Does my heart good to see the love I’m getting on the blog from many of you. I must thank God for what He’s doing through me. Being convicted, encouraged and blessed just comes by way of word through me by the Messenger! Glory to God!! My family and I are doing well. I am struggling at times with a sick great aunt who has turned for the worse out of nowhere recently so it’s an uphill journey to fight through the pain and sorrow while trusting the Lord for her healing whether in this life or in glory. We must catch up soon. I pray that you and your family are doing well. Blessings to dear brother. … Hugs
Thank you, Dear Terra. Yes, we must catch up soon. So sorry to hear about your great aunt. I will pray for her and you. Do you do Skype?
Thank you Steven. Sadly, my aunt passed away Sunday afternoon. (July 20, 2014) These last few days have been difficult for me. As for Skype, I do not.
Sorry to hear about your Aunt. I’ll be praying for you.
Hi Terra! You summed up our paths perfectly. And may I add, it’s always a trip worth taking. God bless you!
Hi Patti! Amen.. the trip is worth taking. God bless you sister!
Good to read your thoughts again, Terra.
Thank you Butch! The Lord refreshes my heart over and over right on time. It is always good to hear from you.
Sometimes we are thrust on an unknown path not of our own choosing. We can still choose obedience along that unexpected and unwelcomed path as well. God bless.
You are so right Rebecca. Thank you for sharing such truth. God bless you.
Amen!
Great post. I’m back after a long blogging break. Life is unexpected but his timing is perfect and his ways higher than ours.
Thank you so much! Please forgive my lateness in replying for I surely thought I did via my cell phone. It’s always a blessing to hear from you. Looking forward to getting back to writing as well as reading. God bless you and yours!
