Something’s There

Good day to you beloved one,

I pray today finds you well in the mist of all that’s going on in the world. And just when you think you cannot find a positive thought to think or say realize that you are alive. Living and breathing.

Not by chance either. God is in the middle of it. Something’s there.

So what is that ‘something’s there’ you might ask. I’m talking about praise and worship. I’m talking about praying to He who created you and this world and all that’s in it.

Something’s there

There’s something stirring up in you that you just can’t seem to shake. You’re sitting still and yet you feel antsy perhaps. Hmm… maybe The Lord is beckoning you to come close to Him. There just might be someone or something you need to start praying about. You know it might just be you getting up and following the rhythm of your heart to praise Him for indeed through everything you are still here. Friends and family may still be here but for sure you still are. You know this because you can walk and talk, see and think.

Something’s definitely there.

‘Lord if I can’t think of anything to say may my mouth exclaim how Great Thou Art, how blessed I am to be amongst the living even when death is all around me, how safe I’ve been day to day because the angels watched over me.’ Whatever your something is that’s on the edge of your lips, whatever’s pooling around your heart I say let it flow out. Sometimes our praise and worship and prayer will lift our weary soul because we are letting it go into the atmosphere. Sometimes we need that release in order to be affective for someone standing in the need of prayer or a tangible blessing. Well never know if we keep it inside.

Something’s There. Now what are you going to do about it?

Psalm 150:1-6 ESV Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings in pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing symbols! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!

I know we are living in some troubling times with Covid and the economy suffering to which many are stressed day in and out not knowing what’s to come. I know it can be hard to pray or even think positive but prayer changes things. It may not change the circumstances right now but God hears and he sees. Even in the mist of the unknown faith, hope and prayer is your greatest weapon and gift from above. I know God is real. I know He’s alive and active on my behalf. I know He hears my prayers for loved ones as well as strangers. I can’t focus on just me and those I love. I’m praying for you and yours. You don’t know me and I don’t know you but I’m praying for better days. I’m praying for a release of blessings upon the earth for many are suffering. Some worse than others. I encourage you to encourage yourself and be a shoulder for someone else. Sending air hugs your way. May you feel the love of Christ in your heart and perhaps through kind words of another from whatever source He sends. Be blessed. Take care and stay safe.

  1. Thank You for such a timely and confirming Word. This post was equally poetic and comforting and just what I needed. Thank you for your obedience and encouraging a shift in my perspective. I believe, “Something’s There.” #AirHugs

    • You’re welcome! Thank you for sharing such kind and encouraging words as I seek to walk in obedience while helping others to the best of my ability in Him. God bless you through and through. I’m happy to know that you took something away from my post.
