Give Unto the Lord this Hour

How blessed we are to reach a new day with endless possibilities. Not by our own might but by the grace of God. It is He who chose to breathe life into us on this present day.

May we praise Him and give thanks even if our bodies are tired and dragging, if it’s aching from muscle and joint pain, or perhaps even our flesh is not cooperating because it’s just not in the “right mood”.

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalms  34:1 NKJV

It’s not about how we feel. Feelings sway like the waves in the ocean. We should posture ourselves in such a way that we come to realize that nothing is about us. There is no you or me without Him. He’s Holy, Righteous, The One, Abba Father, I Am, faithful, merciful, gracious, loving, caring, patient, forgiving and a list of so many more things. You get me?

So once we get out head and heart positioned we can begin to give reverence to The Almighty God, our Creator. He is worthy of praise, honor and glory.

I’ve had to put myself in that position many of times especially when my spirit is willing but my flesh is weak. (Matt.26:41) Once we begin to pray and worship the Lord, our focus changes. But we must press through. We must. Know that the flesh will always try to speak louder to us however it may be to keep us from doing what we know that we ought to.

Dear hearts, I just wanted to take a coffee/tea break moment to share with you some nuggets of Truth. The weather and season may be changing right now wherever you are living. I know that cooler nights and mornings may cause you to feel more tired but let us shake up our inner man and arise so that the outer man will be obedient and follow.

We have work to do! I’m not just referring to the vocation you may have but to your work of the Lord. We are here on this Earth temporarily and time is of the essence. May we use it wisely always remembering that someone is standing in the need of prayer and salvation.

Be blessed and be a blessing to someone today with the joy of the Lord upon you!

Oh Deer!

The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills. To the Chief Musician. With my stringed instruments. Habakkuk 3:19 NKJV

……….. yesterday was rough. The day before too. Geez.

Life will bring ups and downs. Things you see and hear can bring happiness or sadness to your heart.

As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?

Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

Psalm 42:1‭-‬2‭, ‬5 NIV

Of course we are all for the good stuff. No one wants to feel pain, hurt or go through hardships but they ultimately work out for our good when we trust the Lord. We cannot always have sunny days expecting to see rainbows without a storm.
Oh but how faithful is God! He’s always with us. How blessed I feel when words, sights and wonders are shown to comfort my heart when I don’t understand or comprehend the actions of others. Now it’s not that I personally was affected ,but that my heart was hurting for innocent children and the lack of care by others regarding them.

I am thankful for being created in the image of God because the characteristic traits I have been given allows me to work as His hands and feet for those in need. I use to ask myself as a young girl why do I care so much or even why I cry or become bothered in my spirit when someone is hurting or suffering. No one else I seen acted like me/wore their heart on their sleeve/gave two bits about how others were being treated. I felt like I was the ‘odd man out’ when around them at times.

I digress. But let’s move on.

Lately the Lord has brought butterflies of plenty across my path as reminders that I am transformed in Him. Yesterday it was a majestic looking deer. Can you believe it?!! How I wish that I could have snapped a pic of it as I was driving home with 2 of my daughters. Oh well. At least I was left with a vivid memory of what this beast looked like. Joy flooded my heart as I heard a word from the Lord come to the forefront of my mind. Amazing!

OH DEER!

My daughters were obviously tickled pink by my vocal expression of delight in seeing this deer as it seemingly pranced across one side of the woods onto the other while giving me time to observe it. It actually stood there for a moment the closer I drove near it. I. was. in. awe.

Such beauty and strength this deer has. I simply cannot put into words how I felt in that moment. My heart was refreshed. A spring of heavenly water washed over me. I was not feeling as if I was thirsting in a dry land anymore… wondering what would happen next in the situation that weighed my heart down.

My heavenly Father has already worked it out. I have to trust and believe that. I pray for those walking in darkness to one day come into His precious Light. All I really can do is pray from a distance and be a light and helping hand when present as well as from afar.

So what am I saying to you dear hearts?

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;

Proverbs 3:5 NKJV

I encourage you to seek the Lord for that refreshing and flowing water that never ends. It will spring up a well that causes you to dance, to sing unto Him and praise his name. He knows all and sees all before it ever takes place. Nothing is new under the sun. Nothing shocks him. Does it hurt His heart to see wrongdoing? Yes it does. If he cares then so should we. At the end of the day we all have choices and I pray that one day we come to a full realization that God loves us and wants us to live a life pleasing to Him with passion and purpose loving one another and taking care of each other.

He loved us enough to send His Son down to show us and teach us about right and wrong. How we should live and treat one another. He intimately paid the price for his love and actions by going to the Cross to die for our sins. But He rose from the grave with victory! Nothing and no one could keep him down. Hallelujah! He left us with a Comforter to lead and guide us, to bring comfort and support when we need it.

The Word of God is our blueprint. We can navigate through circumstances that will leave us inspired, encouraged with hope and  refreshed in our souls when it’s feeling dry. It will lead us to those quiet waters to take in and become energized once again. We can and we will be strengthened in the Lord like the majestic deer if we continue to trust and allow Him to take the lead through life’s forests and the terrains you may walk across.

God bless you. I will keep you in my prayers day and night.

With a Jesus love from my heart to yours,

Terra

Enjoy this wonderful song that I just love and allow it to fill you up! Have a happy and blessed day in Jesus.

Dance Before the Lord Like David

Dance like David!

Then David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod. 2 Samuel 6:14

Oh, taste and see that the Lord  is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
Psalms 34:8 NKJV

When the glory of the Lord fills the room… PRAISE Him! Dance Before Him like David. When you think on just how good He has been to you DANCE!

For the Lord is worthy of our praise, worthy of our lifted voices, worthy of our dance that’s unashamedly done in His presence. Glory to God!

You know.. I just have to share for a moment that a couple of weeks ago I had my dance before the Lord. I told Him that I’d give it to him. I had a situation going on in my life and it has been bothering me, worrying me, causing me not to sleep well and so on. While I was praying and trusting Him, the anxiety would not let me go. My problem is that I was still holding on to worry of the unknown. I wasn’t resting in His peace about the issue.

I know that I was in the wrong and that I have the power and authority in the name of Jesus to be set free. I needed to speak the Living and Breathing Word in and over my concern. Now while I thought I was doing my own planning to prepare myself, the Lord was doing His. Long story short is that when I got home one day, the answer I was awaiting was tangibly answered. Hallelujah!! He had already worked it out long ago.

I cried tears of joy, I prayed on my knees, I raised my hands in thanks and adoration of my Father and all he had done. You see, He already answered my prayers. I just had to wait on Him. I needed to trust Him with the unknown. Wow! So much to be said but truly I wish that you could feel what I am still feeling.

Circumstances will cause you to do things differently. I thank the LORD for hardships for they draw me closer to Him.

With that said let me share this as well. The Lord placed upon my heart things about dancing before Him. I couldn’t shake it and I still can’t. Woke up this day and knew that I needed to write. I needed to share some experiences and testimonies. As I was in my room worshiping and dancing before my King, a vision was brought forth. One of which I never saw in its entirety.

My best friend since childhood who’s really like a sister than anything came into my thoughts and I saw her dancing before the Lord. No one knows her story like Him. No such a person can tell you about all that He has done for but Clareice. As for me, I call her Mickey. When I say we go way back we go way back and have many stories to back up our journey through the ups and downs, sorrows and joy, weeping and laughter, walking in sin to walking in freedom. There is nothing like liberty in Christ Jesus. Salvation means everything. There’s nothing like being set free and being  reconciled back to the FATHER whom loves you and I with an everlasting love.

Clareice(r) w/ Prophetess Valerie Moore

While I wish that I could do a video interview with my friend, I am not that technology savvy yet! We live states apart but I must say that it doesn’t keep us from chatting away over the phone sharing our hearts with one another. This woman has battled so many illnesses since childhood and having death knock on her door a few times, being wheelchair bound, cane and walker assisting along with a laundry list of other medical issues and financial hardships coming her way and yet she is still standing. It hasn’t been easy but because she knows the goodness of the Lord and has found him to be faithful, she can testify to the blessings, the healing and deliverance over areas in her life still to this day. I had the opportunity to see God work in her life after watching a video. She and her daughter danced before the Lord. I watched in awe as my eyes filled with tears of joy. God is an on time God! He’s a Promise keeper. So when I say that obedience is everything, I can truly testify to that.

I don’t always get it right or move when the Lord says move buy I am still a work in progress. We all are if we are honest with ourselves. Trust and obey is what I encourage you to do. Step out of your comfort zone, bind up the lies that the enemy is feeding you because you are a threat to his kingdom. Remember that.

Dear hearts, I want to encourage you to dance before the Lord however it is that you are lead. Just allow the Holy Spirit to move. Don’t think or care about who’s watching because it’s not for them. It’s for the Lord. Now because we didn’t come into this world saved and sanctified, let us not act as if we have never danced, shouted or done anything worldly to express our happiness over something. We owe it to the Lord. We don’t have to wait for some miracle to take place in our lives. If we simply THINK about Who the Lord God is and take into account the change brought into our lives all because he chose us that is a beginning start to get your dance going.

Praise His Name! We are not who we use to be. His mercy and grace falls fresh on us daily. We are here living and breathing another day. Not by our own doing or anything else we may want to take credit for but because He first loved us and knew us before we were created in our mothers womb.

Your dance will be different than mine, mine different than yours and it’s okay. There is no need to compare at all to what someone else is doing. When the Spirit of the Lord comes upon your heart, just let your mouth and body move. It may or may not seem awkward at first but keep in mind Who you are doing it for. As for me, when I let go any thoughts and directions of what I think I’m supposed to do, I can allow the Holy Spirit to move me from the inside out. This has been a joyful experience and time of connection with the Lord that I live to do on more than one occasion for He’s my Daily Bread, my fountain of refreshing water that I can’t get enough of.

So how about it? Will you join me in a dance?

Bless you all in the Name that’s above all names,

Terra

Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.  For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.  Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Psalms 149:3‭-‬5 KJV

Please look for her shared words below in hopes that her testimony will bring hope and assurance into your life for whatever it may be that you are facing. Also, here is a YouTube link to the conference and her dance like David danced that she and her daughter experienced before the Lord. To personally know that the Almighty moved in her life following the act of obedience brings me into a state of wanting to draw closer and closer to Him each and every day that I’m given. To God be the glory forever and ever.

Just Look Up

Thank you Lord….. Hallelujah.

Even if we are walking in the valley, Lord you are there. if we are perplexed in our mind we need to only be still. let us listen for the soft voice beckoning us to the reason of truth.

Bless you Lord.

May we acknowledge that You are Truth and our guiding Light. Our heart and minds can become so polluted with doubt and anxiety. Let us look above and receive in Jesus’ name.

Psalms 121:1-2 NKJV
I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord , Who made heaven and earth.

Pour Out and Anoint This Broken Vessel

20120405-082136.jpg
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. (2 Corinthians 4:7 NIV)

Days can grow long and weary being a follower of Christ Jesus, but the reward of obedience is worth the sacrifice. This will not always be an easy task. Some days it feels as if the walls are crushing in with no air to take in…….. yet we press through.

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. (2 Corinthians 4:8, 9 NIV)

To the feet of Jesus I take a seat and allow him to feed my soul as I rest in his presence. My heart desires to fulfill the calling the Father spoke over me and in me to do. There is nothing I say or do righteously that is of my own thoughts or will but that of His. I’m just a broken vessel wanting to be used so that I may glorify His name and draw many to The One who is able to save and set free just as he has done for me.

Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.

And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:1-6 NIV)

May we all remember that this ministry we take on is not about us, but about Jesus. May we boast not of anything we do in His name. It is the Holy Spirit who resides in each of us ; he inspires us to write, talk and teach the Word. Think not highly of yourself and of your “genius” ideas. We have been blessed with these gifts from the Lord to use accordingly. All glory and praise is for Him.

I exhort you to keep pressing forward dear brothers and sisters in the Lord. This journey is long and will not end until we are called home. Yet still the Word of God will not go out void. Seeds have been planted and the harvest will be plenty in due season whether you are present to see the fruit of your labor.

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. (Galatians 6:9 NKJV)
