Today Is It’s Name for a Reason

image

We can never get today back so I pray we make the best of it. Worrying won’t change a thing. Lord knows I’m talking to self before anyone else. Love, Peace and Hope are ours today….

Be blessed and encouraged dear hearts for the Lord has seen fit for us to be alive on this green earth one more sweet day for reason and a purpose.

The Lord tells us:
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Matthew 6:34

Meeting in the Clouds

While I’m not really sure where my recent fascination with clouds came from, I do know that I have always enjoyed looking at them since I was a kid. As of late, I have been going outside taking pictures of the sunsets or any type of cloud formation that I find interesting around the perimeters of my home. Occasionally I will take pictures if I am out with my family and my camera just so happens to tag along. This photography hobby has been keeping me preoccupied and it gives me a broader outlook when I capture God’s creations in still form.

I have noticed that the more I think about creation, it was and is by One source that all this came to be.

God created the heavens and the earth! I enjoy living simply in abundance of His blessings. Truly!!

There are some days that I find myself going to sit outside during the day or as the sun starts to set and have a “meeting in the clouds” with the Lord. I find myself singing or praying while smiling with a heart filled with gladness knowing that I have favor upon my life. What a reason to be thankful….. because He surely did not have to give me anything.

I take the time to converse with the Lord about my day, my thoughts and prayers for others who are in need of Him. Many are laying up in hospitals, some are literally lost due to being kidnapped, children are being forced in sex-trafficking, someone is plotting to take the lives of innocent people for no just cause, a new life has been brought into this world, a lost soul just gave their life to Christ after fighting the desire to live by the ways of this world. So much to think about. So much to be in prayer about. Much to rejoice in as well as times to mourn with others.

We only have one life to live. May we not take it for granted. It can disappear before our very eyes.

PRAYER IS KEY. It is our lifeline of communication with the Lord. It’s a time of communion and fellowship with our Creator.

Will we forsake the glorious ways of our God, his majestic splendor, his love and mercy? How awesome is He?!!

Our God is “the Man with the master plan”. He’s “all that and then some”. You get what I am saying.

Jesus tells us : Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not worry, saying, What shall we eat? or What shall we drink? or What shall we wear? For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. (Matthew 6:30-34 NKJV)

My front porch

So whether it is on your front porch, outside taking a stroll or just sitting still thinking, take some time to thank the Lord for all He has done. Today may not be all that it could be but at least you are still here. You can choose to make the best of it or wallow in pity. Someone has it worse right about now. Someone is on their death-bed and the clock still keeps ticking. When they pass on….. they will never be able to say that they wish they could have done things differently in their life. We all will go through various things in our life time. Storms do not last always. You cannot have a rainbow without the rain.

Make the best of today and live it like there is no tomorrow. God is good. He is faithful and He is present.

Will you go meet Him in the clouds today?

Enjoy the slideshow of pictures (< link) amongst others that I have taken over time. I stand in awe of the works of His hands. What a wonderful God of heaven and earth!

*Here’s a song I’d love to share with you. I can’t help but lift up my hands and worship the Lord for He is Glorious!

Wake Up, Stir Up and Rejoice In the Lord!

Lay it down at the altar. Wrap yourself in the love of the Savior. He watches over you day and night. Sing a new song unto the Lord and don’t worry about who’s looking because it’s ALL ABOUT JESUS. No one can give you everything you need but the Lord. He’s our all and all.

Give it ALL to the Lord! Today is today and tomorrow may never come! Praise The One while you have breath in your body! Mercy and grace has met you today even before you opened up your eyes!

Raise your hands towards the heavens and sing praises to our Lord! How awesome is OUR GOD?!! Dance and Rejoice in His Name!

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans8:31 NKJV)

Thank You Lord for blessing us with life even through our difficult times. Blessed be Your Name! Your mercy are anew each and every day.

We have more reasons than we could ever think of to be thankful to our Savior. Holy Holy and great Thou Art! So many blessings from the Lord has gone unnoticed because we are looking at our storms instead of up and focused on Him and what he has already done in our lives. Let us worship Him in spirit and in truth. Nothing we have done could ever be good or righeous enough. It is His love, his compassion, his mercy and favor that has given us life to see another day. Until he calls us to leave, may we not take for granted that we can worship Him tomorrow; that the storm will pass over through the night and we can thank him then. Tomorrow may never come. Bless Him NOW! Pray that you will draw closer to God each and every day no matter what. He is our Anchor. Bless and worship His holy name.

Awarding: My opinion and view of the blessing and potential stumbling blocks

Greetings to you all in the name of Jesus Christ.

From my heart to yours, I hope and pray that you understand my post about the blog awards. While I am greatly appreciative of the nominations, I have a very hard time posting them on my page and following the directions to receive and nominate others.

This has been on my mind for a while, so now I feel I can express why you have not seen them pasted on my page and passed along.

Well for starters, this is Christian blogging. We are to share the Gospel of Christ, encourage each other and be a living example to the world in cyberspace as well as in person. The Holy Spirit has inspired each of us to write and convey messages/posts in our own unique ways. While awarding and commending others of their achievements thus far seems really nice and encouraging, they could also be stumbling blocks and hinderances for others new in Christ and blogging.

While this may not be the case, as everyone is entitled to their opinion and convictions, it doesn’t sit well within me.

Please believe me when I say that I am not against the awards and their purpose, I would just rather see equality and not limitations on how many can receive, as well as the nominee having to pick and choose amongst their followers who receive. It puts a lump in my throat to have to omit others when they may be giving their best to share with their readers. ( again this is just how I feel )

I personally don’t want to leave a door opened or cracked for the enemy to come in and distract the thoughts of anyone who hasn’t received an award or the beginning thoughts of how they too can achieve one, when the main purpose is to share what God has spoken to your heart to share with the world.

As most of you already know ( but in case you don’t ) I am an empathetic, compassionate “heart” person. I tend to look deeper than the surface of things or people in general. This is God’s gift embedded deep within my inner being. I never want to come off as being inconsiderate, arrogant or anything that one would start to perceive of me as being negative because it’s not my intention or heart’s desire.

I would like to say that I have been inspired to like different styles of writing since I have met you all. Some of it through poetry, Christian rap music and other various ways. Point being…. I have grown to become fond of them. The writers in the bible were inspired by the Spirit just as well. In my eyes, none are no greater than the other. They are just written differently and collectively put together to illustrate the beauty of God and the bond brought together of His children to spread out and share with others; Christian and sinner alike.

For it is not of our own wisdom that we are able to write and share, but of the Lord. All credit I give to him when I write because it is the Holy Spirit who prompts and inspires me to do of such. I am just a vessel working through obedience. Nothing more and nothing less.

May we all continue to lift each other up and encourage in love as we trek this journey in the Lord and in blogging. To God be the glory in all we think, say and do for the Kingdom.

God bless you all! I count it joy to have come to know you through this site as well as friendships being built.
