Through it all….I Worship You

Words can’t seem to describe the thankfulness that is running through me. Its really hard to do it but I want to allow others to feel what I feel to the best of my ability.

The wonder, the love, the power, the gentleness, endless mercy and grace, peace, joy even through hard times I know that I know that the Lord Almighty goes before me and is a keeper of His word.

He can do all things BUT fail.

I worship You Lord not just for blessing and protecting me but because of Who You are and who I am not. I am nothing without you. I cannot sustain day to day without You. When hard knocks come, when the wind blows extremely harsh in my life it seems and I feel as if I will topple over …You O Lord, my Rock and sure Foundation keep my foot from slipping.

I worship You! I worship You with all that I have within me…. I bless You Lord. Hallelujah!

When I have yet to hear a word back from You I know that I am heard because my faith tells me so. When I fail You time and time and again You continue to love and encourage me. I am not worthy of nothing but You give me your best and that alone brings tears to my eyes O giver of Life. My Creator, Father God, Abba my soul cries out with a heart of thanksgiving.

My life is Yours dear Lord. Please help me to live my days with great love and sincerity as a reflection of my love for You. You are worthy of all of our praise. Not just today but everyday. Glory to God!

Dear beloved as you read my words, I would like for you to reflect on the goodness of the Lord in your life and of your loved ones. He has been quite generous to us all. We do not deserve anything but because of His unfailing love and His remarkable ability to see us past all of our faults He is worthy of  a dance, a shout, a Hallelujah, Glory to God and whatever else you feel led to say and do. A God Who does not love conditionally but unconditionally, a Father and Creator who saw me and called us His own before we were even formed within the womb of our mothers. The Lord saw us in all our mess and still chose us. He has called us His people. I bless Him this day and I desire for my relationship to go nowhere but deeper and more intimate. I pray that you do as well.

Give glory and honor to Him brothers and sisters even when your day is not going it’s best. Sometimes your praise will turn your outlook around. I know this for myself. Hallelujah!

Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord , all the earth. Sing to the Lord , bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples. For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are idols, But the Lord made the heavens. Honor and majesty are before Him; Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary. Give to the Lord , O families of the peoples, Give to the Lord glory and strength. Give to the Lord the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come into His courts. Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness! Tremble before Him, all the earth.
Psalms 96:1‭-‬9 NKJV

Are you Available?

I know that the Lord is speaking to me. Prayers that I have lifted up to Him are being answered. My life should first and foremost be about living for God and walking His Word out in my life.

If you don’t mind, I would like to speak to the ladies for minute. (though this applies to the Body of Christ as a whole)

Ladies, may we not be complacent. There is so much out in this world that we can be doing. We have influence to use for all the right reasons. As godly women will we just sit back or become the active hands, feet and mouthpieces for Christ ? Pray and ask the Lord to stir up the desires that may be dormant in your heart, to wash away any thoughts that tell you that you are not capable of doing a certain task.

If God brings you to it He will bring you through it.

The Word tells us:

Philippians 4:13 NKJV
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

So…………..Are you available?

Today Is It’s Name for a Reason

image

We can never get today back so I pray we make the best of it. Worrying won’t change a thing. Lord knows I’m talking to self before anyone else. Love, Peace and Hope are ours today….

Be blessed and encouraged dear hearts for the Lord has seen fit for us to be alive on this green earth one more sweet day for reason and a purpose.

The Lord tells us:
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Matthew 6:34

In the Morning When I Rise, Give Me Jesus

image

In the morning when I rise, give me Jesus.

There’s nothing that I can think of that’s better than this. While I am a tea lover and it sits so well with me and my quiet time before or after my family leaves for school and work…. I need Jesus.  I simply need Him to get my day started.

My beginning thoughts prep my day. Doesn’t yours?

Jesus himself on many occasions got up early to go pray. He proclaimed the Word of God to the people,  he healed the sick and done many miraculous things but he still took time away to pray. He gave The Father the firstfruits of the day. If He done it so should we. (Mark 1:35, Luke 5:16, 6:12 are a few examples)

Mark 1:35-38 NKJV
Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. And Simon and those who  were with Him searched for Him. When they found Him, they said to Him, “Everyone is looking for You.” But He said to them, “Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth.”

As we should, we wake up saying our prayers and thanking the good Lord for blessing us to see another day as well as asking for forgiveness for whatever it may be we still need Him. We still are in desperate need of His presence when we arise.

It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle. It’s easy to fall into our robotic ways of easing into our day but the question I pose to myself and to you is “Am I giving Him my first fruits? Am I choosing the better part?

Now don’t get me wrong! I’m not implying that we can’t have our morning cup of coffee (or tea) as we indulge in our time of devotional and Bible reading at the same time but have you ever thought about allowing His presence to soak deep within your being giving you strength and that invigorating shower of mercy and grace that falls fresh like rain when you arise first?

That kind of brew and jolt of amazing energy I have gained from being in His presence outdoes what I thought I could attain after having had my soothing and relaxing cup of tea.

He’s my cup of comfort that brings peace and settles my anxious thoughts about the new day that is set before me.

As I reflect and gaze upon the picture above that I had my daughter take early one morning this week as we headed into town I fell in awe of just how awesome God is. The Creator of heaven and earth blessed and breathed in me one more time. Seeing the sun rise in the astounding beauty that it holds, it let me know that no matter what the road ahead may look like He’s still in control. With that said I can continue to go forward because my God, your God is already there. Isn’t that wonderful? Oh yes it is.

Thank you Jesus for being there when I rise. My life and my thoughts are yours. Lead me into each and every given day that’s given to me. Bless me so that I may bless others. My Rock and my Fortress I just want to say Thank You. Amen.

Dear hearts, I pray this New Year that we choose the better part and better beginnings and endings to our days. However it is that the Lord leads you, follow Him. If the Holy Spirit is nudging your heart to get up earlier than you normally do, I encourage you to do so. I’ve learned along the way that the Lord wants to talk. We just never know what it is that He has to say. We may never know the importance of the early rise unless we are willing to get up. Just a tid bit of information I thought to share with you. God bless you….

Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

……… Lord, we are not our own. We have been bought with a price. You alone know what’s best for us. Write Your story on our hearts.

Blank canvas. Clean, white and without markings. To the natural eye, we can fill it with what we think is suitable and to our liking. With God, it’s limitless and far beyond our imagination what plans He has in store for us. The Creator of the heavens and earth, the Father of lights pours down immeasurable gifts upon us. His mercy. His grace. His favor.

James 1:17-18 NKJV
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.

Salvation. The ultimate gift and sacrifice that’s available for all to receive. This blood stained canvas has covered every inch of our sins that we have committed past, present and future.

We’ve been given an opportunity to start new. Our sins have been washed away. We have a blank canvas that can be filled with an abundance of life- giving blessings, wisdom, knowledge, intimacy with the Lord Himself as we share with others the goodness of the impeccable art grafted into our hearts.

Will you allow the Lord to write His story on your heart? What do you have to lose? From my standpoint….. nothing if He’s the Lord of your life and the lover of your soul. God bless you with all the love and compassion He’s placed within me to see you grow and prosper in Him.

Seeking Peace: Breaking Away to Be with the Lord

“The Lord  bless you and keep you; The Lord  make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26 NKJV

There are moments and days when I personally have to make quiet time to be with the Lord. I need His peace. I seek His peace so that my thoughts and my walk will align with His.

Do you ever find yourself seeking peace in the most war waging times in your life?

How easily it becomes getting caught up in our thoughts especially when it’s on a battlefield. We cannot always give the adversary credit for a wandering mind filled with thoughts that may turn unpleasant. At times we do this to ourselves. (time for a self check)

Scripture plainly tells us about taking our thoughts captive in II Corinthians 10:5 NKJV:

“…… casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,”

I encourage you dear reader as I encourage myself, to do some kneeling of prayer and seeking of the Lord when you arise each morning, throughout the day and upon going to bed. We cannot have peace where strife is taking up residence. Get up, grab your Bible and apply it. Call on the Lord and speak His word into your life and the burden that you are carrying.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV

As we begin to close out the year 2013, I pray we all begin to take more self evaluations as we learn more to lean not to our own thoughts and understanding. They are to be in sync with the Lords. (Proverbs 3:5-6) Things may not always be as they seem. If they are, I urge you and myself to go to the throne more often so that our walk with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit be in unison. Be blessed and be encouraged.

Peace to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. Ephesians 6:23-24 NKJV
