What’s That In Your Mouth?!!

Your words were found, and I ate them; and Your words were to me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart, for I am called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts. (Jeremiah 15:16 AMP)

Chewing and Digesting

Through my own experiences, though in general, the Word does feed my spirit. Chewing and digesting it ( scripture ) soaks into the innermost being of my spirit. Its not about the quantity of what I read, but the quality; what I am taking from it. There are days when I pray asking God to give me a word for a particular moment that I’m going through or something that’s on my mind as well as just wanting to seek His heart and finding out what it is that he wants to talk to me about.

This is vital to my daily living just as keeping healthy and taking my vitamins. God is my spiritual dose of nourishment. His Living Word is what keeps me going. All the strength I work in that’s righteous comes from he and he alone. Seeking Him and his presence means everything in what I say and do. I want to be about my Father’s will. His plans are greater than mine and yours. With this said, I am praying that you too take careful consideration as to the things you consume mentally, physically and spiritually.

Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. (James 1:21-25 NKJV)

“Father God, it is your heart that I seek after daily. I need you desperately. Without you I can do nothing. Teach me your ways that I may live accordingly. I pray for my friends and family far and near that they too will seek after you coming thirsty and hungry. Your Son paid it all on the cross. He blood was not shed in vain. Help me to take up my cross daily and to deny the flesh that has no means to edify my growth in you. I continually ask for your mercy and grace. Your infinite wisdom is greater than anyone’s. I’ve asked you for wisdom and you have granted it to me. May I be wise and not foolish in my own thinking; boasting of things I know not is meaningless. Everything meaningful and righteous that proceeds out of my mouth I credit to you. Praises forever will be in my mouth for you alone are worthy of them. Glory hallelujah!!
In Jesus name… Amen”

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. (James 1:5, 6 NKJV)

  1. “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God.” My soul is hungry for the Living Bread, and it thirsts after the Living Water! I know that all I have need of is found in Him, and the longings of my heart are satisfied through His Word! O taste and see, that the Lord is good!

  2. Terra, there is actually a branch of science known as Noetics that literally measures the physical weight of a hugh number of positive thoughtwaves! Doubts carry no weight, can move nothing, not even ourselves. Wonderful meditation on faith vs. doubt here. Bless you, dear Sister Terra!

  3. AMEN! This whole post is edifying…His Spirit and His Word are dwelling richly in you! Hallelujah! Praise the Lord for feeding us through His Word and for being our Daily Bread. May we open wide our mouths (and our HEARTS) daily, allowing Him to feed us. Only He knows exactly what we need. Thank you, Terra.

    • The joy I have is abundant! Thank you my dear sister and friend! I’ll shout an Amen with you! Thank you for such kind and uplifting words. What a gift indeed! How great is our God to supply us with all that we need. Praise His Name!
