Road Prayers Are Not Just For You

Just when you thought your road prayers were all about you and your needs…the Lord had you praying for others you passed along the way.

Now isn’t that just like us to be selfish? Me me and more me.

But then isn’t it just like God to turn our focus and direction towards someone else who’s standing in the need of prayer?

It sure is and I thank Him for it.

While we are encouraged to take our concerns, worries, fears, things we need to get off of our chest to the Lord and lay them at His feet, he desires for us to pray for others too.

It’s not all about me and it’s not all about you.

The Lord laid a road prayer heavily upon me one day as I was driving along casting my cares upon Him. I went from praying about my circumstances to praying and interceding for those I passed on both sides of the road.

Now in society we can be good for griping about slow traffic, someone doing this ,that or the other and fail to look at the blessings. Example: having a vehicle to drive, safety that the Lord has brought you from point A to point B thus far. Many other things to be thankful for that I can name but I’d like for you to start thinking of some yourself to see what you come up with.

The Lord Almighty flooded my heart and my mind as I drove along. It blew me away. My stresses and concerns didn’t seem so big once I started praying for others that are driving. We may never know where they are going but it’s reassuring to know that we can take our prayers to the Father about them with hopes that they will get answered.

Whether it’s rushing to the hospital, contemplating suicide, trying to make it to work before getting written up one more time, trying to stay awake on the road from working that second job to support their family or even just….. trying to figure out where they belong they ALL need Jesus. Someone is standing in the need of prayer. Someone may be seeking Truth and Peace in the middle of chaos. Someone needs to see that there is a Light in their darkness.

Salvation is available to all. The prayer line to God is always available. This road is accessible and free of traffic jams.

Jesus tells us: The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
John 10:10 NKJV

So while it may seem easier to just think about ourselves in the moment, may we take a look at our surroundings and begin to wonder what’s going on in the life of the vehicle next to, in front of, behind and those traveling in the opposite direction of yourself. Ask the Lord to show you what He sees and to give you a heart for those in your path.

Prayer changes many things and it just might save someone’s life. Just think about it. Every time a person confesses their sins and receives salvation the angels rejoice. Now that’s grand to me! When I think about the impact prayers makes in the life of another and just not myself my spirit begins to catch fire with hope and joy because of the Living God who is able to do exceedingly more than I could imagine.

I just thank the Father for turning my one lane road prayers from myself to that of multiple lanes praying for others. I may not ever know what impact my prayers had or will ever have in the life of another road driver (biker, walker) but I do know that my God does and that’s quite alright with me.

Hoping to shed a little light from my heart to yours. I give credit where it’s due and it all belongs to the Lord. I thank the Holy Spirit for being ever present and helping me and giving guidance when I couldn’t see.

Just Look Up

Thank you Lord….. Hallelujah.

Even if we are walking in the valley, Lord you are there. if we are perplexed in our mind we need to only be still. let us listen for the soft voice beckoning us to the reason of truth.

Bless you Lord.

May we acknowledge that You are Truth and our guiding Light. Our heart and minds can become so polluted with doubt and anxiety. Let us look above and receive in Jesus’ name.

Jesus, I’m Comin’ to You! (Down the beaten path)

Wow….

Where do I begin other than starting out with a shout of praise! Hallelujah, thank you Jesus!! Goosebumps cover me as I see myself and that of others going down the old beaten path of hardships and adversities we face knowing that there is a Savior who CAN heal us. If we can just touch the hem of His garment we know that we can be made whole.

When we face life problems we tend to keep going back and forth down the old beaten path rather than taking the path that leads to healing, deliverance and peace. Back and forth, we walk past one another with the same hurts, pain, afflictions, torments, anxieties and angers. We are lost, destitute and weary without Jesus. Without God’s guidance and being obedient to the word and instructions given to us that is edifying for our lives we walk aimlessly down a path not set for us.

Do we really want to turn over our pain to Jesus once and for all?

By faith we can be made whole. We must let go of control and allow Him to take hold. Those of us who have met Christ and know the power and abilities that He is capable of fulfilling in our lives can testify to it. Every now and then we get tripped up and question if He is able. Being in the flesh, we take our eyes off of Him and find ourselves back on the beaten path as if we never had knowledge that Christ is our Healer.

“If I can just touch the hem of His garment, I know that I can be made whole.”

Dear reader, I speak to the pit of despair, loneliness, depression, fear, lack of strength, discouragement and joy and I bind them up in the mighty name of Jesus. People, I speak to the lies that hover over you like a lion that has its jaws locked on its prey and I rebuke them. The gates of hell need to open back up and take back what is not meant for you. We don’t need anything in our lives to keep us broken and in despair. Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.

Through the tears that flood your face, the sleepless nights, the constant pacing of the floors wondering how you will overcome I want you to believe that HEALING is available today.

“Oh Lord, I plead with you this day to come right now and meet us right where we are and bring us into the marvelous light. As we crawl, run and  limp towards You , please give us just enough strength by the power of Your might to touch the hem of your garment! We can be made over. We can be refreshed and revived! Hope and healing in is YOU!!!

Hallelujah, thank you Jesus!! I praise You in advance for what you are going to do and I thank you for what You have already done! Shine on us from above just one more time. Strengthen us, restore us that we can tell the world what has been done. Oh praises to Thee who reigns on high!”

However you get to Jesus, just get there. He’s waiting…….

Be encouraged my brother and my sister. I love you in Christ and I am praying for you. Don’t give up.

Solid Foundation: Who’s Building Your House?

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. (II Timothy 3:16, 17 NKJV)

No other ground I know to stand on that will not sink is Christ. He is the Solid Rock, the Cornerstone, the great Foundation that were are able to affix ourselves to without falling if we so choose. Choosing our own paths may provide a temporary fix but we will ultimately be back at square one. Choosing the wrong foundation will have us stressed out, angry, confused, bitter and perhaps even destructive towards ourselves and others.

There is no peace. No true peace and contentment when we are our own guide, builder and god. We cannot always blame others or Satan for things not working out.

Is it ever taken into account that things may be going wrong for a reason? Maybe God closed a door for your own good or it could even be that its just not the right time.

Questions.
Are we attempting to solve things in our own thinking? Are we speeding up the process because we cannot wait on God and His timing? Do we feel that God has not given us the answer(s) that we want?

Let’s pause and think about that shall we….

“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” (Matthew 7:24-27 NKJV)

We should not continue to keep doing things in our own thinking and understanding when we do nothing but fail time and time again in the end. We cannot work in our own strength when we will eventually grow weary in doing so.

The Bible is our manual for life. It should not be pulled out and used like cake for special occasions catering to the quick fix “God I need You real quick, so can I get some help?” type of meal. God isn’t fast food.

Instead, it is our Daily Bread. Jesus is our daily bread. The Word will feed us, nourish us, provide peace, give us joy, hope, comfort, healing, understanding and correction along the way. To have righteous living and to be holy we need to align our ways with His. God is love. He is our eternal Word that sustains us through all circumstances.

Who is your Builder? Self or Christ?

Life will bring ups and downs. We cannot avoid them. What can take place is an unsurpassable peace residing within us that Christ himself provides. We will not become consumed with doubt and fear or filled with anxiety if we are standing on the Solid Foundation that keeps us from falling or sinking.

May we look to God at all times rather than when it accommodates us.

“I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. (Psalms 121:1-3 NKJV)

Our Lord will not fail us. He can not error. His building codes have been tested and founded to be true and stamped with approval.

Who wouldn’t want a lifetime guarantee?

Be encouraged today as the the Master Architect builds your home with loving and supportive care.

Wake Up, Stir Up and Rejoice In the Lord!

Lay it down at the altar. Wrap yourself in the love of the Savior. He watches over you day and night. Sing a new song unto the Lord and don’t worry about who’s looking because it’s ALL ABOUT JESUS. No one can give you everything you need but the Lord. He’s our all and all.

Give it ALL to the Lord! Today is today and tomorrow may never come! Praise The One while you have breath in your body! Mercy and grace has met you today even before you opened up your eyes! 

Raise your hands towards the heavens and sing praises to our Lord! How awesome is OUR GOD?!! Dance and Rejoice in His Name!

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans8:31 NKJV)

Thank You Lord for blessing us with life even through our difficult times. Blessed be Your Name! Your mercy are anew each and every day. 

We have more reasons than we could ever think of to be thankful to our Savior. Holy Holy and great Thou Art! So many blessings from the Lord has gone unnoticed because we are looking at our storms instead of up and focused on Him and what he has already done in our lives. Let us worship Him in spirit and in truth. Nothing we have done could ever be good or righeous enough. It is His love, his compassion, his mercy and favor that has given us life to see another day. Until he calls us to leave, may we not take for granted that we can worship Him tomorrow; that the storm will pass over through the night and we can thank him then. Tomorrow may never come. Bless Him NOW! Pray that you will draw closer to God each and every day no matter what. He is our Anchor. Bless and worship His holy name. 

Blessed Assurance

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. (Philippians 4:4-8 NIV)

 

The Butterfly Effect

Good day to you!



I pray that all is well with you and that your mindset is in a place of renewing. I want to start off by saying that I am again so thankful that I have been provided with an outlet to express myself and hopefully someone will be touched. My goal is to be obedient to the Lord and follow his rules for my life. Yes, I will slip and fall at times,but the key is to repent wholeheartedly and move forward. I will not allow the things that I allowed to cause me to stumble to hold me back. I say that I caused myself to stumble, because it is a choice that I made out of weakness. For it is by the Lord that I can overcome with his help and not on my own. I will fail each and every time if I try to do anything on my own.


Eph 4:23-24 Amp version tells us ” And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [ having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude ] , and put on the new nature ( the regenerate self ) created in God’s image [ Godlike ] in true righteousness and holiness.  


A short while ago I had posted a Facebook message about a dream I had about the most beautiful butterfly I had ever laid my eyes on. I’m not sure how many people read it but inspite of that, I just had to share my happiness. I have a love for butterflies and it’s just something about them that brings me joy! I have seen various colors and types,but this one I seen was one I had never laid my eyes on but it just has this special something about it that shined so brightly within my heart. I can say that I recognized the color palette from my childhood. It’s something I really can’t describe it. I can only say that over time looking back in the last 6 months or so through trials and tribulations in my life, that I see now that God had to allow me to go through some hardships to transform me. I am clay in His hands and the closer I have  drawn myself to Him when I have felt emotionally abandoned, the more He shows me. I think this is where the butterfly effect has been coming in to play. Metamorphosis…. this is the best way to describe it. It’s not an easy process from the beginning nor is it pretty depending on how you look at it,but in the end this beautiful, amazing being spreads it’s wings and fly. 





I know I have a calling on my life and as hard headed as I can be, it’s time to stop fighting. I want what He has for me but I want the easy route. Who doesn’t? But how can you actual testify to something if you don’t go through the fire? I am assured through prayer and submitting my case before Him that I will come out on top for his glory. Nothing goes unnoticed by Him and he wants the best for his children. Transformation is taking place within me. I am being renewed and restored. My faith and hope is placed in Him. God works  on his watch. No mine, not yours. Through this, I am being strengthened and my patience is being challenged as to how I respond to people and situations. This is my passion with a purpose. I want to be everything He has called and predestined me to be. I want all the blessings. I don’t want to miss out. Through this I know that I will lose many things. Dying to myself daily plays a major part. Letting go of anything and anyone that is not edifying must go as well. May I have to courage to go forth and not look back. I am naturally a nurturing person and want to help anyone that I can but it’s a downfall, a weakness if I am not careful. Everyone doesn’t have your best interest at heart and will sneak in like a wolf in sheep’s clothing to try and destroy you. I’ve been burned quite a few times but I realize more and more that I can’t be superwoman and save the day. It’s not my job. I will do my part if that and keep going.  The best I can do is pray. I love ya, but I gotta keep going for my journey has not ended and too many pit stops can potentially hold me up. This girl has things to do!
