Who’s Watching Over You?

image

Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord  is your keeper; The Lord  is  your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore. Psalm 121:4-8 NKJV

So…. who’s watching over you? Is it your alarm system with all the cameras and sirens, a guard dog or perhaps your weapon(s). Maybe it’s all of them.

Do you have more trust in those things than the Lord?

Now I am not taking away from the things that can protect us from intruders but where does our true trust lie? Manmade items (well God created the dogs) that can fail at any given time or the Lord who has the power to stop anyone or anything that threatens to take your life?

Above all I pray that it’s the Lord. I gave this some thought as I was walking back home with my daughter and her pet. We become so comfortable putting our trust in many things and people alike.

God watches over us with a careful eye. He does not slumber and he does not sleep. How about that. He’s our Protector 24/7. He does not take the night shift and sleeps when it’s someone else’s turn. There is no electricity and back-up generator hooked up to Him if his system fails. He doesn’t even have a weapon that requires bullets when it’s emptied.

He is our Refuge and Fortress. Tenderly and with much affection God watches over us. He has even given the angels responsibility  to watch over us.

Psalm 91:11 NIV
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;

Though nothing in this life is guaranteed and we are all bound to leave at some point, remember that if you perish by the hand of evil, the soul cannot be killed. The Lord Jesus tells us:

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28

So wherever you are at this moment, take comfort in knowing that we live and serve a mighty God who takes notice all day long. He and his angels are concerned enough to watch over us every minute of the day and night.

May your sleep be peaceful and you rest well for God is……….. WATCHING OVER YOU.

“Father, I humbly come before You first giving honor and glory because You are worthy. I ask that Your people bow before You with all respect asking for forgiveness of their sins. May they take heart in knowing such truths about You. You are mighty to save. You are our greatest Protector. Our lives are in Your hands dear Lord. Please watch over every heart whether they see this message tonight or any given blessed day given to us. May the heavenly angels take charge guarding us and providing a hedge of protection. Let our faith and trust be placed more in You than in anything man can provide. With love in our hearts and peace within our minds cause us to rest in You and be assured that all is well. In wonderful name of Jesus I pray. Amen”

If You Love Me You’d Tell Me the Truth

Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. (Proverbs 27:17 KJV)

This scripture could not be more poignant.

Amazingly, the Lord’s hand has still been upon me even when I have become frustrated, even when I have shed tears out of compassion and a lack of understanding with the questions of Why, What and How juggling around in my brain. I know I’ve said “amazingly” but in all knowing, it has been His mercy and grace that has kept me. It has been His compassion and patience to show me the very things I needed to hear and see through His eyes and understanding.

Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved. (Psalm 55:22 NKJV)

If we love someone, we will not give up on them. If we love them, we will do what’s right for the sake of righteousness.

May we be merciful upon those who bring strife, upon those that seemingly make something out of nothing, upon those who fall away from what’s right to start walking, talking and acting as if they never knew God’s truths. If they are not a believer and follower of Christ, the fruit we show bears witness to Whom we belong to and how we live out life as an example.

We all hurt and express our pain and emotions in many ways. Through our longsuffering, love and patience with others, a heap of coals could be removed from their heads if we treat them in a Christ-like manner.

No one is perfect.

Jesus met us right where we were in all of our mess waiting to clean us up, love on us, be our Friend who would never lie to us just to make us feel better. He sharpens us more than any other friend we could ever have in our lives just to give us a life that would be easier to bear spiritually by living right and doing so accordingly.

Love Above All Else

Fire-starter! Sound the Alarm!!! (re-post)

SOUND THE ALARM!!
A consuming fire of love and gratefulness is in the air. My Lord and Savior woke many of us up today. No matter what your circumstances may look like, you are STILL here on this earth. Speak praise into the atmosphere for God is worthy worthy WORTHY of our praises!

It’s time to redirect your thoughts. Think on the goodness of the Lord and all that he’s done in your life. His love is sufficient enough don’t you think? He’s been a hedge of protection around you. You have been covered. The heavenly angels have kept guard over you. Affliction may be present, wounds may run deep, but know that you are not alone. He is with you!

BLOW YOUR TRUMPET!

20120216-081556.jpg

PRAISE HIM LIKE A CHILD WHO DOESN’T WORRY! CLAP, SING, DANCE………

20120216-081930.jpg

Let your fire be contagious wherever you are! Spread it far and wide. It could very well change someone else’s day. God loves a cheerful giver!

Blessings to you! No need to call a park ranger because this is a godly fire that’s worth keeping ablaze!

Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth; Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises. Sing to the Lord with the harp, With the harp and the sound of a psalm, With trumpets and the sound of a horn; Shout joyfully before the Lord, the King. Let the sea roar, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell in it; Let the rivers clap their hands; Let the hills be joyful together before the Lord, (Psalm 98:4-8 NKJV)

Storms Are Raging…. Is Jesus Anchoring Your Soul?

In You, O Lord, I put my trust; Let me never be ashamed; Bow down Your ear to me, Deliver me speedily; Be my rock of refuge, A fortress of defense to save me. For You are my rock and my fortress; Therefore, for Your names sake, Lead me and guide me. Pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me, For You are my strength. Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O Lord God of truth. I have hated those who regard useless idols; But I trust in the Lord. I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy, For You have considered my trouble; You have known my soul in adversities, And have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy; You have set my feet in a wide place.

Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am in trouble; My eye wastes away with grief, Yes, my soul and my body! For my life is spent with grief, And my years with sighing; My strength fails because of my iniquity, And my bones waste away. I am a reproach among all my enemies, But especially among my neighbors, And am repulsive to my acquaintances; Those who see me outside flee from me. I am forgotten like a dead man, out of mind; I am like a broken vessel. For I hear the slander of many; Fear is on every side; While they take counsel together against me, They scheme to take away my life. But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord; I say, You are my God. My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, And from those who persecute me. Make Your face shine upon Your servant; Save me for Your mercies sake. Do not let me be ashamed, O Lord, for I have called upon You; Let the wicked be ashamed; Let them be silent in the grave.

Let the lying lips be put to silence, Which speak insolent things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous. Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You, Which You have prepared for those who trust in You In the presence of the sons of men! You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence From the plots of man; You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion From the strife of tongues. Blessed be the Lord, For He has shown me His marvelous kindness in a strong city! For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before Your eyes; Nevertheless You heard the voice of my supplications When I cried out to You. Oh, love the Lord, all you His saints! For the Lord preserves the faithful, And fully repays the proud person. Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the Lord. (Psalm 31:1-24 NKJV)

God bless those who are amongst the living this day. May we be truly thankful to see another day even if it is hard to bear. If we are tying our souls to Christ and walking closely to him, then I can only hope and pray that through the storms of life,we won’t jump off the ship. May our souls be anchored in the Lord. I feel that the Lord is pressing it upon my heart to remind us all to not be a selfish people. There are so many people walking around this world lost. Lost in darkness to sin. Lost in darkness and clueless not knowing a precious Savior Who is willing to accept us as dirty, filthy garments in need of washing. We can be made over and washed clean in His blood if we just accept his hand and salvation. How can we keep Jesus to ourselves? Are we really trying to reach the nations, are we really trying to reach our neighbors who live next door. (literally and spiritually) It’s so easy to get caught up and  feel comfortable in our own walk. But tell me, have you ever thought that someone you were aquainted with unexpectantly passed away and likely went to hell when you knew that they did not know Jesus and you HAD the opportunity to minister to them? Now I am not pointing the finger at anyone because I know I have been guilty of it. May we all be a work in progress willing to step out unashamed and share Jesus. Now we can only do our part as you know. We can’t force people to do anything especially when it comes to salvation. Just know that the opportunity was made available if you knew your heart was being nudged to go speak to someone.

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalites, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12 NKJV)

Too many demons to fight against. We simply cannot do anything on our own or in our own strength. We NEED Jesus. People are trapped within their minds stressed, perplexed, confused and depressed by demonic oppression that soon may cause one to take their own life by suicide and maybe of those that are around them. Just going down the wrong path of life is torture in itself. They don’t know that there is a way out. If they do, they are fighting against doing right simply because the folly of this world seem more enticing. I’m sure that people get caught up and don’t want to be labeled as a Jesus Freak especially if their life is in the spotlight. You don’t have to be a celebrity either.

Jesus is the way.

There is no other way to make it in this life. Life will bring some hard knocks. Will we be able to stand the blows? Will we trust in the Lord enough to keep our eyes focused on him and to not let go of his promises no matter how long the storm rages? Peace can be found in the storm. May we anchor our souls in the Lord at all times and not some times. May we extend our hearts with compassion for those crying out,  those with inner turmoil and any thing that stands in the way of freedom. Signs may not always be visible that someone is battling in the spirit, but take the time and ask the Lord to have his way in your life, to use you to be a messenger of peace. Our freedom is in Christ.

God bless each and every heart reading this. Let’ go out and make a difference while lifting up and encouraging one another as the Body of Christ. Let’s work on becoming selfless rather than selfish. At the end of  this earthly life we are going to be accountable before God. Make the most of your time while you have it. Tomorrow isn’t promised to no one.

In Christ I encourage you to put on the Armor of God daily. (Ephesians 6:10-20) We are on the battlefield. The victory is ours. May we believe it and claim it.

Pour Out and Anoint This Broken Vessel

20120405-082136.jpg
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. (2 Corinthians 4:7 NIV)

Days can grow long and weary being a follower of Christ Jesus, but the reward of obedience is worth the sacrifice. This will not always be an easy task. Some days it feels as if the walls are crushing in with no air to take in…….. yet we press through.

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. (2 Corinthians 4:8, 9 NIV)

To the feet of Jesus I take a seat and allow him to feed my soul as I rest in his presence. My heart desires to fulfill the calling the Father spoke over me and in me to do. There is nothing I say or do righteously that is of my own thoughts or will but that of His. I’m just a broken vessel wanting to be used so that I may glorify His name and draw many to The One who is able to save and set free just as he has done for me.

Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.

And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:1-6 NIV)

May we all remember that this ministry we take on is not about us, but about Jesus. May we boast not of anything we do in His name. It is the Holy Spirit who resides in each of us ; he inspires us to write, talk and teach the Word. Think not highly of yourself and of your “genius” ideas. We have been blessed with these gifts from the Lord to use accordingly. All glory and praise is for Him.

I exhort you to keep pressing forward dear brothers and sisters in the Lord. This journey is long and will not end until we are called home. Yet still the Word of God will not go out void. Seeds have been planted and the harvest will be plenty in due season whether you are present to see the fruit of your labor.

20120405-104959.jpg
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. (Galatians 6:9 NKJV)

My Eyes Look Up to Thee……

20120301-081626.jpg
Psalm 121 A Song of Ascents. I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help?

God the Help of Those Who Seek Him

My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. (Psalm 121:1-8 NKJV)

Trust in the Lord dear brethren for our God is not dead. He’s surely alive living inside of you even if you feel and think as if he is not near. He is! Emotions will get the best of us. Stand on the Word and don’t behave as if you don’t know how powerful and majestic the Great I AM is.

Do not put trust in your emotions. They come and go as the waves in the ocean; up and down. The Bible tells us:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; (Proverbs 3:5 NKJV)

Call on Him. Blow your trumpet and let your aid be made known! You need him more than anyone. Some days may grow long and weary and seem as if the light at the end of the tunnel may never shine, but I’m here to tell you that HELP is on the way. Be patient and wait on the Lord. His timing is never too early or too late. He comes right on time! TRUST and BELIEVE that you will be rescued.

Psalm 121 has personally been one of my favorite scriptures that I have embedded in my heart and trusted in since I gave my life to Christ years ago. He IS my help in times of trouble. I look UP and CALL on him because I KNOW HE is able to come through for me when I let my basket of cares be made known.

Friends, whatever it is that you are in need of, it would behoove you to let it go and give it to God. Trust that his hand is already at work. Plead your case and leave it at the alter. Amidst waiting for your rescue, count it joy as your wait with patience. The Lord is doing a great thing on the inside of you.

GOD IS ABLE TO DO ALL THINGS BUT FAIL.
