Breaking Up Fallow Ground: Dig Deep and Wide

Dear Father God, I pray in the name of Jesus that whomever this is meant for will receive this wholeheartedly. There is a breakthrough on the way. I bind any negativity that will try to stand in the way of the souls who need to hear and receive from You. Thank You for another day to make a difference. Bless each and every person who is able to make a change in their life through Christ Jesus if they just deny themselves and surrender to Your will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Dear believers, it’s time to get to work. Our Lord and Savior needs us to be about His business. Time is of the essence. Turn that uncultivated land into cultivated. There is a great harvest ahead! Scripture tell us :

Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the Lord, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you. (Hosea 10;12 )

For thus says the Lord to the men of Judah and Jerusalem: ” Break up your ground left uncultivated for a season, so that you may not sow among thorns.” (Jeremiah 4:3 )

In order to sow good seeds, we must let go of anything that is keeping us from our full potential of walking with Christ. There are things that need to be weeded out….. bitterness, unforgiveness, a hard heart and any matter of such that doesn’t allow us to move forward. You want to bear good fruit right? Ask God to remove anything from you that is just pure junk. I’m calling it junk because it needs to go to the trash. It’s doing nothing more than cluttering your mind and your heart. In no way am I trying to be mean or not understanding because I’ve been there. If you have been following my blog then you know that I have had to release A LOT of things in order to grow. Cast your cares upon the the Lord and let your case be made known. Holding on to matters that is beyond your control will not help you. I can not and will not sugarcoat the Truth. By doing so, I am not helping you at all. Speaking in love and truth is the only way.

In Matthew chapter 13, Jesus tells a parable about a sower. He says that he ( the sower ) went out to sow some seeds and some fell along the path that were devoured by the birds because the Word was heard and not understood.( the enemy will come and snatch was was sown on the heart ), some sown on rocky ground in which the Word was was heard and received with joy but because there was no deep root to keep it flourishing, it died off.( when afflictions, persecutions and troubles come upon you, stumbling happens. You begin to waiver in your trust, your faith, doubting that God will come help you ) Then there were seeds sown among thorns. The Word was heard but the cares of THIS world choked and suffocated it. ( the riches, pleasures, decietfulness, etc.) and it proved unfruitful. Now we come to the seeds that were sown on good soil. The Word was heard and understood. It took ROOT. Now I have paraphrased this as to cut down on typing out the entire chapter. The clue I am giving: please read this chapter in full for yourself. Let God’s Word take root in your heart. Read His Word every day, study it and let it bear much fruit. Gain a clear understanding of His will for you and your purpose in life as a His beloved child. Pray and ask for understanding.  He will provide it for you.

As for what was sown on good soil, this is he who hears the Word and grasps and comprehends it; he indeed bears fruit and yields in one case a hundred times as much as was sown, in another sixty times as much, and in another thirty. ( Matthew 13;23 AMP )

Examine your hearts and see what is revealed. It may be a hard thing to do but if you are truly honest with yourself and want to please the Lord, then being obedient to His will and his way rather than your own is the best wayt to go. The Lord wants to do so much for you and through you. Don’t just be a Hearer of the Word, be a Doer of the Word.

I love you and want to see and hear of your growth in the Lord. May the seeds you sow grow and flourish like never before. I’m praying for you! Now go put on your gloves and prepare to get dirty cause it’s time to clean house! I believe in you. If I can do it, so can you.

Be strong and encouraged in the Lord. You can do all things through Him.

All for His glory,

Terra

  1. Hi Terra. This is a wonderful post and prayer. Thank you for your heart for Jesus and letting us see Jesus’ heart in you! I also just read Matthew 13 (Sunday) and blogged about it. Love when the Holy Spirit is stirring up the same/similar things in believers! May the Lord continue to bless you and draw you ever closer as you walk with Him.
