Salt Shaker: Let Your Light Shine

Believers Are Salt and Light

13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
( Matthew 5:13-16 NKJV )

We are in perilous times when our faith will be tested. Will you stand? Will you cower down and not say a word? Jesus is calling us out to keep our salt flavored and to use it; not to keep it covered or hidden. This is a mighty dark world we live in and it is not getting any better. Until our Savior comes back for us, be a light in the middle of darkness. Do not be ashamed and do not conform on any level.

HE’S NOT ASHAMED OF YOU SO PLEASE DON’T BE ASHAMED OF HIM

People are dying every day not knowing of Christ or the salvation he’s given. Those of us in Christ already know of his goodness and mercy and we can testify to that. It’s time to share in spirit and in truth amongst those who do not.

LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE!

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), (Ephesians 5:8, 9 NKJV)

    • Thank you Dave. Its all to glorify the Lord. I am so thankful to be used as his vessel to build up the Kingdom and to exhort others. I appreciate you stopping by! God bless you!

  1. Amen! Love the picture of the watchtower. It reminds me of God’s strength and compassion. Let us run to Him, enjoy of His comfort and take that back to the world.

  2. Salt and Light the church needs to come back to this and she is! IN these dark hours I am convinced that the church will shine her brightest and be her saltiest. We may not be big but we will be powerful! Thanks for the word of exhortation!

  3. Thanks Terra,

A very timely message for the body of Christ! The harvest is truly plenteous, but the laborers are few! May we all take a bold stand for the Lord, and proclaim salvation to the unsaved! Excellent word! God bless you!

  4. Yes! Yes! Yes! It is time to share, and not keep JESUS to ourselves. HE died for all of us not just the people in our close circle of friends. Thank you for posting this! 😀

      • You’re so welcome, but I couldn’t have reblogged if you hadn’t posted it. Thank you for being obedient to the unctions you receive from the Holy Spirit! 😀

    • I agree with you. It’s a hard thing to see. Lord I pray that more are drawn unto himself for eternity. You are welcome for the post. Thanks for stopping by sister! Blessings!

  5. Great Post! Mark 9:50 warns us about keeping the flavor that Christ gives and that without that saltiness- “It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.” Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost, and we have to continue the work. Thanks for the admonishment.

  6. Terra, isn’t it amazing that God created us to serve as the “salt of the earth” seasoning all around us? Sprinkle away, dear Terra, as you always do! How perfectly you flavor our days!

    • ( blushing ) My goodness granbee! How my heart is blessed with your kind words! The Lord Almighty is so good to us. Yes he is! I really like how you put it about us seasoning all around us. Love it! May we keep our flavor!! Praise be to our Jesus!!! ( sending you a hug! )
