You know… I just can’t go a day without Jesus in my life. Every aspect of it. I have been singing “How He Loves Us” by David Crowder Band since around 6 a.m. On repeat. Oh how my body cries out in adoration of the King. The lover of my soul. Sweet Jesus. Praises I will sing all my days.
Sometimes reading or drinking my tea is hard to do when all that my body and soul craves for is worship. All I want to do is lift up my hands and give Him the glory and honor, to stand in awe of my Savior because he is jealous for me and His love is abounding.
Psalms 143:8 NKJV
Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.
Dear friends I encourage you today to give yourself in its entirety to the Lord. Allow Him to lead you and your day. Let His ways and thoughts become yours when you arise in the morning. If you accomplish nothing more than being before the Lord then you have done plenty. Too often we become consumed with this and that and forgetting about “the better part”. Spending time with I Am that I Am.
I tend to share often a scripture that I hold dear and it’s one that encourages me to see beyond my thoughts and plans because I know that God has far better for me. Plans that go beyond what I could imagine or see. He’s so amazing.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13 NIV
May today be a new day. One of better beginnings and endings. In Christ. We surely cannot go wrong…. I’ve tried Him for myself. Blessings and an abundance of love from me to you always.
Your Sister in arms,
Terra
Time spent with the Lord is never wasted time ~ that is what he has been teaching me lately. What I come away with after spending time with him can never be taken away. The dishes will become dirty again, the floors will need mopping again… but the time I spend with the Lord can never be taken from me. years later I still remember encouragement and things whispered in my ear by the Lord of Lords and King of Kings. God Bless you today and thank you for writing. Be Blessed!
Amen. You are so right Carolyn. Dishes and all can wait because they will need to be done again. We never want to miss an opportunity to spend with Him. I rejoice in knowing this spoke to you. What a blessing. God bless you!
