Standing In the Gap

Dear Lord,

Someone is in need of Your presence right now. I don’t know who I’m praying for but my heart and spirit is calling me to intercede on their behalf…. to stand in the gap. I cry out to You to come rescue them in their time of need. Cover them with Your love, be a hedge of protection around them, The Rock, The Fortress, a place of refuge, the mother, father, sister, brother, the friend, Comforter, their everything that they need to make it through.

Hear my plea O Lord for tears are present. Hurt, pain and grief has struck their soul, doubting and wondering how they will make it. Most Holy One, I know you can make a way out of no way. Let them know that You are with them. Your presence is near. You have not forsaken them. I plead the blood of the Lamb, I rebuke those negative spirits. They have no choice but to flee in the name of Jesus.

Thank You for hearing my prayers. My love is with those who seek You even if they are unaware that they need to call on You. Bless them and keep them safe in Your arms. Peace be still. This storm soon shall pass. In Your everlasting Name I pray. Amen.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. (Romans 8:26 NIV)

The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. (Lamentations 3:25 ESV)

  1. Hi Terra,
are you still praying, I will need someone to stand in the gap. Because I am standing out on Gods word. I will be speaking straight to the point but from the guidance up above. I will not lose friends, for speaking Gods word because if I lose a friend then they never were my friend. If I gain a friend then I know they are eternal because of truth.

Thank you for standing in the gap for me. They not ready for your smile of righteousness. Jesus is his name he is the same today, yesterday and forever more.

    Love ya…

    • Hi Shenine!

You are so welcome! Of course I am still praying and I will stand in the gap for those in need. I am so thankful that I chose to walk in obedience. I hear what you are saying about friends. We live and learn through good and painful experiences. Thank you about my smile. And Amen to Jesus….. He NEVER changes.

    • Thank you very much. I agree…. God IS at work. I can’t help but reach out to help others. I can only hope and pray that those in need find the strength to call on the name of the Lord. He supplies all our needs. Bless you.

      Terra

    • Looking at it that way, I suppose some people are arrogant. I see it more as selfish but there’s room for growth in us all to come out of our comfort zone and selfish ways and be of help in some way to others. I thank God for putting the gift of exhortation within me. It’s a great feeling to know that I did all I humanly could to stand in the gap for others. I try to treat others the best I can. Someone’s life can turn around all because of a small gesture. So all in all, I agree with you Russell! 🙂
